Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba - Sweep the Board

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board, which was just recently announced for Switch, has now been confirmed for English release in the west. The game launches in 2024 with SEGA handling publishing duties.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mezase Saikyou Taishi was already announced for Switch in Japan. It’s also planned for 2024 in that region.

Rainbow Cotton

Today, ININ Games and Success Corporation revealed that they’re partnering to bring Rainbow Cotton to Switch. The title launches in Spring 2024.

Rainbow Cotton, which originally released for the SEGA Dreamcast, is a 3D shoot ’em up game. Further details can be found in the following overview, courtesy of ININ Games:

Nintendo Direct September 2023

A new Nintendo Direct broadcast will air tomorrow, September 14, Nintendo just announced. It will air at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

Nintendo says that the Direct will be about 40 minutes long, focused on games due out this winter. That’s not all encompassing, so some titles may appear that are scheduled beyond that window.

Whisker Waters

Whisker Waters is in the works for Switch, publisher Merge Games and developer Underbite revealed today. The game launches on Switch in 2024.

Whisker Waters is a fantasy fishing RPG set in a bright and enchanting world under threat of a mysterious darkness. You’ll play as a young kitty – who can be customized – with an enormous responsibility.

Hamster has announced Manhattan 24th Precinct as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. A worldwide release is planned for September 14, 2023.

An action game first released by Konami in 1986, in the game your objective is to rescue the prison warden, fighting your way through the streets of Manhattan, which has been overrun by escaped prisoners. If you help citizens along the way you’ll receive new weapons for your troubles.

Arcade Archives Manhattan 24th Precinct will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

A new update for Pokemon Home has just released, bringing the app to version 3.1.0.

This update is mainly focusing on providing compatibility with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet’s first new wave of DLC, The Teal Mask, which released earlier today. Some additional Challenges and stickers are also being added to the app.

MythForce launch trailer

Apsyr and Beamdog have published a launch trailer for MythForce. The game, a first-person roguelike action experience, just landed on Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 update 2.1.1

As a heads up for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 players, a new 2.1.1 update has just been made available. Nintendo has put up the patch notes as usual.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet update 2.0.1

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet just got a new update and both are now at version 2.0.1.

If you’ve been keeping up with all of the news surrounding the games, you should already know what the highlight is here. The first part of The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC, The Teal Mask, is now available. It involves players going on a school trip to Kitakami, where they join an outdoors study program held jointly between their academy and another school. New Pokemon are also available.
