Legendary video game developer Shigeru Miyamoto wants Nintendo to be left out of the console wars.
Miyamoto was speaking with the press this week ahead of the Nintendo Museum opening in Kyoto, Japan. He gave insight as to why the museum is opening, stating that he hopes attendees will get a true feel for what the company is all about.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom tech analysis, including frame rate and resolution

Now that Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is out on Switch, we’re able to see how the game holds up from a technical perspective – specifically frame rate and resolution. Digital Foundry delved into these topics in a new video today.
Unfortunately, similar to Grezzo’s remake of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, the main issue plaguing the game currently is the frame rate. Those hoping for a smooth 60 FPS experience might be a little disappointed.

Today, ExoGenesis Studios unveiled its first project titled INAYAH: Life After Gods. Switch will be getting it in Q2 2025.
INAYAH: Life After Gods is a 2D action platformer made by industry veterans with experience on games such as Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, as well as artists who worked for Disney and Blizzard. The hand-drawn experiences has players exploring a mysterious post-apocalyptic world where survival is paramount as they face challenging bosses, enhance their abilities, and discover hidden areas in their fight to conquer their enemies.

Faaast Penguin release date set for October, roadmap

Historia set the release date for its new Switch version of Faaast Penguin today. The game is planned to arrive on October 3, 2024.
Faaast Penguin, a multiplayer racing game, was previously revealed for Switch in September. Although it came to PC that month, Nintendo’s fans have been forced to wait a bit longer – but thankfully just for a few weeks.

3D puzzle game Woodo on the way to Switch

Woodo is seeing release on consoles including Switch, publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developers Yullia Prohorova and Timur Bogotof confirmed today as part of the Tokyo Game Show. The two sides did not mention a release window.
Woodo is a cozy 3D puzzle game. There’s more than just puzzles here though, as it includes “a heartwarming story that resonates with both adults and children immersing players in a peaceful, safe and creative world.”

Mail delivery adventure game Tanuki: Pon’s Summer announced for Switch

Publisher Critical Reflex and developer Denkiworks are working together on Tanuki: Pon’s Summer, the two sides announced today. Although the project has been confirmed for Switch, no release window has been shared currently.
Tanuki: Pon’s Summer is a mail delivery adventure game. Players will control Pon, who needs to restore the shrine before summer ends.
