Europe top 15 downloads eShop January 2023

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for January 2023

Fire Emblem Engage, which was a new release, debuts at #3. Nintendo Switch Sports took the top spot last month but is now #2. The one in first place? That goes to Minecraft.

Rob Riches gameplay

Megapop’s zen puzzle adventure title Rob Riches ended up on Switch this week, and new gameplay is now available. A new video that’s gone up contains 19 minutes of footage.

Go! Go! Pogo Girl gameplay

Go! Go! Pogo Girl, a 90s-style platformer, has received a new round of gameplay. We have 17 minutes of footage in total.

Fatal Frame new game

According to Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse producer Yutaka Fukaya, a brand new entry in the series is a possibility for the future.

The franchise has been going through a bit of a renaissance as of late. After Fatal Frame was missing in action for several years, Koei Tecmo brought back Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water for modern platforms in 2021. That’s now being followed up with a remaster of the Wii title Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which is leaving Japan for the first time.

Game Boy GBA Switch Online schedule

Nintendo has commented on the release schedule for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games on Nintendo Switch Online – of which there really isn’t one.

A Nintendo Direct this week revealed additions of both systems for the service. Anyone with an active Switch Online subscription can access Game Boy titles now. The same goes for Game Boy Advance, though you need to subscribe specifically to the Expansion Pack tier for that one.

WonHobby 36

WonHobby 36 is officially underway, and you know what that means: the latest news about figures is here.

Several figures have been revealed for the first time while we have first looks at others. Some of the highlights include a previously-announced figma for Mio (Xenoblade Chronicles 3) which now has a prototype, Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroids for Tails and Knuckles, and a Nendoroid for The Human / Toriel (Undertale).

Rooftop Renegade gameplay

We have new gameplay for Rooftop Renegade after it landed on Switch this week. The footage provides a closer look at the fast-paced action platformer.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe pre-order bonus

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is just on the horizon, and retailers are now starting to reveal pre-order bonuses for the game. We’ll keep this post updated with any new information on that front leading up to launch.

This title is a remake of the original game released on Wii. Aside from a visual update, there are new elements as well. The Mecha and Sand Abilities make their debuts, while the Festival Ability makes a comeback from Kirby Star Allies. Subgames are back from the original Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, but there are also new ones like Magolor’s Tome Trackers. Up to four people can play at once on the same system by sharing Joy-Con controllers.
