Your help is wanted

Wanted to give this one last bump to the front page. For the most part, we’ve mostly got this shift covered, but we have one more potential slot open! Please get in touch if you have any interest.
Nintendo Everything is looking for a news writer to potentially add to the team. We’re seeking those who could cover the site at times between 12 AM ET and 8 AM ET.
That breaks down to…
11 PM CT – 7 AM CT
9 PM PT – 5 AM PT
5 AM – 1 PM in the UK
2 PM – 10 PM in Australia
We don’t need this entire eight-hour slot to be filled, but we’re looking for those who can help us keep Nintendo Everything up to date on a regular basis, Mondays through Fridays. Only have a couple of free hours available? We still want to hear from you if you’re interested! This is unfortunately a non-paying position, though we’d greatly appreciate your help.
Getting in touch is simple. You can reach out through our contact form or on Twitter. Hope to hear from some of you soon!
On another note, I wanted to quickly mention that Nintendo Everything may be a bit quieter than usual tomorrow. I’m almost always available to cover the site for numerous hours each day, but I won’t be around much of the early morning/mid afternoon due to a personal matter. You’ll probably be seeing a few posts from Austin, and I’ll be sure to cover anything that’s missed once I return!

Japanese Golden Week sales experience 30% decrease year-over-year
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News | 3 Comments
The arrival of Golden Week usually signifies an uptick in Japanese game sales. Unsurprisingly, that was no different this year. For the week of April 28th, hardware sales rose by 112.29 percent over the week prior, in part thanks to the performance of the 3DS. However, sales were down overall year-over-year.
Media Create data reveals that software sales dipped by 68.57 percent. One could say that the lack of a major new title partially resulted in the downturn. In 2013, Nintendo released Tomodachi Life – a big seller having moved almost 210,000 copies during Golden Week.
Hardware sales also decreased by 68.21 percent compared to last week’s Golden Week period. Even though the 3DS sold well on the whole, it only managed to move 51.82 percent of last year’s total.
What does this all ultimately amount to? A 30 percent drop in overall sales.

Overview of Moon Chronicles’ release schedule and pricing
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 2 Comments
Moon Chronicles is launching on Thursday. Keep in mind, however, that this will be the first episode. Three additional episodes will be released in Season 1.
Renegade Kid co-founder broke down the release schedule for Moon Chronicles while speaking with Hardcore Gamer, also also discussed the game’s pricing.
Check it out below:
1. Moon Chronicles will begin its release on May 15 exclusively on 3DS. This release will be Episode 1 of the game, which contains 4 chapters and a secret bonus VR mision. This release will serve as the conduit for the remaining three episodes in Season 1.
2. The remaining three episodes of Season 1 will be released before the end of 2014, with the possibility of Episode 4 slipping into early 2015. Although the price was reported to be $1.99 per episode, that number has not been finalized. There will also be a season pass in the future, enabling players to purchase episodes 2, 3, and 4 for a single lower price if they do not wish to buy them à la carte.
3. Season 1 will have a total of four episodes that comprise the original DS game, remade for 3DS.
4. There will be at least two seasons.
5. Season 2 will be comprised of all-new content.

Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails’ file size
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails will make its debut in North America and Europe this Thursday. If you plan on purchasing the game, note that it takes up 78MB (103MB to install) of space. That’s a pretty small download, so you shouldn’t have much trouble fitting it in your Wii U’s memory/external storage.
