Senran Kagura producer hopes to cut down on release gap outside Japan

In the future, Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki hopes to cut down on the time it takes to release new entries in other territories. “I’d really like things to expand to where we can narrow the gap between the releases in Japan [and the rest of the world], as much as possible,” Takaki told Inside Games.
Takaki also discussed his thoughts on the reaction from foreign fans:
“They’re so passionate, and it always surprises me. People from other countries who purchase the game would often take a picture after making their purchase and line it up next to their country’s flag saying ‘check this out’ and then sending it to me.”
“At first, I thought of it as a specialized product for Japan. I didn’t even think about releasing it outside of Japan. And now, it has expanded across Asia, North America, and Europe, and I’m very grateful.”

Smash Bros. 3DS tidbits – StreetPass “mini-game”, SpotPass notices, no Download Play, 1 save slot
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 8 Comments
The Japanese Super Smash Bros. for 3DS packaging we posted earlier today offers up a few more tidbits about the upcoming game.
As many of you know, Smash Bros. will include StreetPass functionality. The packaging indicates that the feature ties into a “mini-game”, but sadly, no further information is provided. You can count on SpotPass support as well, which comes in the form of “notifications”.
Keep in mind that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS does not support Download Play. Those who plan on playing local matches will each need a copy of the game.
Finally, the title will only include one save slot. That was probably expected!

Typoman set for Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 4 Comments
Typoman is coming to the Wii U, Headup Games confirmed during GDC 2014 last week.
Players will control a little character made of letters in Typoman. You’ll need to use letters at your disposal to form words that have different effects on the stage. You may, for example, have the word “rain”, and place a “d” in front to create the letter “drain”. Doing so will allow you to drain water from a pit and continue onward. Expect to run, jump, push, and pull in Typoman as well.
