The Splatoon Twitter account has been releasing tons of weapon info this week, and today is no exception.

First up, we have confirmation that the Splatterscope will return in Splatoon 2. Just like in the first game, it has the Splash Bomb sub weapon, in addition to having the new Sting Ray special. What’s interesting to note is that unlike the Splat Charger, you won’t be able to keep your charge.

Next up, we have some info on the weapons that were available in the Global Testfire as they have seen some changes since then. The Splattershot now has the Splashdown special, instead of the Tenta Missiles. It still has the Burst Bomb sub.

The Splat Roller keeps its Splashdown special, but now has the Curling Bomb sub weapon.

The Splat Charger still has the Splat Bomb sub and Sting Ray special, but you can now move a little faster while aiming with it.

The Splat Dualies now have the Burst Bomb sub weapon instead of the Curling Bombs and the Tenta Missiles special instead of the Ink Jet.

The Splatoon Twitter account has confirmed that another fan favorite weapon from the first game will return in Splatoon 2 – the Dynamo Roller. However, it now has the Ink Mine sub-weapon and the Sting Ray special.

The Ink Mine has seen a couple of modifications – you can now place two of them at the same time, and if an opponent is hit (but not splatted) by one, they are tagged as if they were hit by a Point Sensor.

Another returning weapon is the Splash-o-matic. Its sub and special weapons have also changed – it has the recently revealed poison mist sub-weapon and the Inkjet special.

Last week, we heard that Daisy was being added to Mario Kart Arcade GP DX as part of a new update. The news has now been officially announced and we have some images of the character below.

You can read about the full Mario Kart Arcade GP DX update here. Unfortunately, we don’t yet know if / when this content will be distributed overseas.

The official Splatoon Twitter account has introduced a new sub-weapon in Splatoon 2 – poison mist. This is a thrown weapon that produces a cloud of poison mist in the area it lands. Enemies who are in that cloud move slowly, just as if they were talking through ink of the opposing team. This effect gets stronger the longer you stay in the cloud.

This is definitely an interesting new sub-weapon that opens up tons of new tactical possibilities. It may not do damage, but forcing your enemies to move slowly could be quite devastating for them.

We already know one main weapon that comes in a set with the poison mist – the Blaster. The Twitter account confirmed that this weapon from the first game will return in Splatoon 2. Its special will be the Splashdown.
