wii u 3ds eshop purchase end

Nintendo has announced that it will be putting an end to eShop purchases for Wii U and 3DS in late March 2023. It goes without saying, but Switch is not impacted at all by the move.

On May 23, 2022, users will no longer be able to use a credit card to add funds to an eShop account on Wii U and 3DS. Then on August 29, they won’t be able to use an eShop card to add funds. Redeeming download codes will still be possible until late March 2023.

Baba Is You physical

Baba Is You, which previously ended up on Switch as a digital title, is the latest game to be receiving a physical release. This time around, it’s Fangamer that has the exclusive on the boxed version.

All copies of Baba Is You will come with a poster, sticker sheet, and card to download the game’s soundtrack.

BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped have both been updated on Switch to version 1.0.2, with the patch adding the original cheat codes.

Other common issues have also been addressed. These include visual errors, crashes, audio glitches, and more.

River City Girls Zero gameplay

Grim Fandango Remastered physical

It’s been a few years since Grim Fandango Remastered first appeared on Switch, but a physical version is finally happening. iam8bit is teaming up with Double Fine on the release.

The physical version of Grim Fandango Remastered includes a premium reversible cover by Holly Rothrock, exclusive o-sleeve cover by Peter Chan, golden train ticket, and matchbook notebook from the Calavera Cafe.

Maximum Games, Innersloth, and Dual Wield Studio have announced the release dates for the remaining collector’s editions of Among Us. Among Us: Impostor Edition and Among Us: Ejected Edition will now launch in the US and Canada on April 19, 2022 and Europe, UK and Australia on May 31, 2022. 

You might remember that three physical editions of Among Us had been announced last year, with the first of these, Among Us Crewmate Edition, having been released earlier this year.

Sony San Diego just announced that a technical test will be held for all versions of MLB The Show 22. The test will feature cross-play and cross-saves as well as online co-op, specifically 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 games. It will be an open test as well, so no sign-up is required.

Freedom Games has announced an official release date for Dark Deity, a Strategy RPG developed by Sword & Axe. The game will release on Switch March 17, 2022. 

Dark Deity was officially confirmed for Switch last August. At the time, it was simply slated for a 2022 release.

Daedalic Entertainment has set a release date for Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes. The pinball-based tower defense and rogue-like mashup developed by Zing Games will release for Switch on March 2, 2022.

Moto Roader MC

At the end of 1992, Masaya Games released the racing title Moto Roader MC for the TurboGrafx-16 – specifically the CD-ROMĀ² add-on. Now after three decades, it’s making a comeback on Switch. Ratalaika Games and Shinyuden are behind the re-release.
