Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered won’t support local multiplayer, according to Square Enix. However, as previously announced, online multiplayer is in with full cross-play.
Square Enix cited “development reasons” in its decision to focus on online play over local multiplayer. The team ultimately hopes to reach a wider array of players.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered will finally launch for Switch and other platforms on August 28 following a number of delays.
Reggie joins Rogue Games as a strategic advisor

Reggie Fils-Aime continues to dabble with different types of roles following his retirement as president from Nintendo of America.
Today, Rogue Games announced that executive has been appointed as a strategic advisor to the board of directors. Co-founder and CEO said that “Reggie brings to the table his unrivaled experience in the console arena which is invaluable to us as we expand our portfolio to include incredible games on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation and PC.”

Necrobarista delayed to 2021 on Switch, new trailer

The cinematic cel-shaded visual novel Necrobarista was previously announced for a 2020 release on Switch. Unfortunately, Nintendo fans will be forced to wait longer than originally expected.
Route 59 Games has nailed down a release date for the PC version, which debuts on July 22. But the console launch – which includes Switch – won’t be happening until 2021.

Spellbreak confirmed for release on Switch as a free-to-play game

Proleatariat has provided an update on the fantasy battle royale game Spellbreak. When it launches on Switch, the title will be offered as a free-to-play game.
Proletariat CEO Seth Sivak said in a statement today that the studio “wanted to make sure that it would be as easy as possible for Spellbreak players to play with their friends, and making the game free-to-play helps us reach that goal. Going free-to-play and ensuring the game will be cross-play on day one reinforces our goal of making sure Spellbreak will be accessible to as many people as possible.”
