Voxelgram 2 coming to Nintendo Switch

Voxelgram was well-received when it came to Nintendo Switch back in 2020, and now a sequel is just on the horizon with Voxelgram 2. We’ve been informed that the new entry will be ready to go on August 28, 2025.
Just like the original, Voxelgram 2 is a 3D Picross/nonogram puzzle experience, but now with two colors instead of one. 250 puzzles are included, plus if you own the previous entry, 250 additional levels can be accessed.

Nintendo bringing back Switch Online: Playtest Program

July 19: The Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program is getting a second run, it’s been announced.
Those with an active membership to the service’s Expansion Pack tier, are at least 18 years old, and reside in certain territories will be eligible to join. Sign-ups start on a first-come, first-served basis on July 21 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe. You’ll be able to register here, though it’s not guaranteed you’ll be selected – 40,000 participants will be chosen.

Magic Pockets today announced Clean Up Earth, which is planned for Nintendo Switch 2. The project is targeting a 2026 debut.
Clean Up Earth is a first-person environmental cleaning sim that can be played alone or with friends. In it, players use a high-tech vacuum cleaner to restore nature’s beauty by clearing trash.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion reveals Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill – plus voice cast details

We’ve just heard about two new characters for the Marvel Cosmic Invasion roster, with Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill now confirmed. The announcement was shared at Comic-Con a short while ago.
Silver Surfer is a metallic-skinned humanoid alien who has appeared in the Fantastic Four series. Thanks to the Power Cosmic, the Surfer can stun any adversary. He can glide in the skies or close to the ground, and insectoid invaders can’t escape Galactus’ former herald.

Bee Simulator: The Hive announced for Nintendo Switch [update: gameplay trailer]

March 12: Untold Tales and Varsav Game Studios are bringing Bee Simulator: The Hive to Nintendo Switch, the two sides revealed today. It’s due out later in 2025.
Bee Simulator: The Hive contains the original game from 2019 plus a hefty expansion named The Hive. The expansion includes new content and mechanics such as the ability build and customize a bee hive colony. Additionally, there are wind tunnels and jet streams to zip around the map faster, two new mini-game challenges, bee vision for gathering resources and highlighting outposts, weather randomization (in free flight mode), and more co-op maps playable in single-player.
Handy Hockey is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in just a few days

We’re in the early days of Nintendo Switch 2, so it’s always interesting to see when a new game pops up. Speaking of which, a Nintendo eShop listing for Handy Hockey has appeared, which shows a release date of July 31, 2025.
Most Nintendo Switch 2 games thus far have been bigger names and from bigger publishers. Handy Hockey, however, seems to be more of a straightforward experience. It’s an air hockey game that supports up to four players and the new mouse controls. The action can also go up to 120 frames per second according to the official website, so there’s that.

We haven’t heard too many publishers commenting on why they’re using game-key cards on Nintendo Switch 2, but now NIS America has just done that – specifically for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon.
Many were happy to hear that the recent news that Nintendo’s new console would be getting the RPG. However, it did come with that game-key card caveat for physical collectors.
