Rumor: Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp took so long since it was redone from scratch, took time to prepare events
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, Rumors | 5 Comments
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp wasn’t originally supposed to take this long. Originally, Nintendo first spoke about the game in 2016. So why are we only seeing it now?
The Wall Street Journal reports that Pocket Camp was redone “at least once during the development process to ensure quality.” That’s according to the publication’s sources involved with the game’s creation.
The Wall Street Journal further notes that Nintendo “also had to prepare a full slate of limited-time events happening within the app to keep players coming back frequently”. It took some time for Fire Emblem Heroes to really get started on that front, which caused some people to lose interest. For Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, it sounds like Nintendo wanted to keep players busy from the get-go.

Fire Emblem Heroes: Ursula Grand Hero Battle is live & new banner teaser
Posted on 7 years ago by Andrew in Mobile, News | 2 Comments
The Grand Hero Battle featuring Ursula’s return is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. Like we stated in yesterday’s post, you can obtain a 3 star version, a 4 star version and a 4 star version with Hero Feathers of Ursula if you can beat the map on Hard, Lunatic, or Infernal difficulty.
There is also a new teaser image that the official Japanese Fire Emblem Heroes Twitter account has posted showing off a new banner coming to the game. The tweet states that the new banner will be coming to the game next Monday on October 30th and promises Login bonuses tied in with it. By the looks of the new image shows and the date it is releasing on, we are guessing that the new banner might be something Halloween theme related.

Niantic to improve Pokemon GO’s EX Raid Battles following player feedback
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 7 Comments
Good news for Pokemon GO players. Niantic has pledged to improve the game’s EX Raid Battles feature, with the company tweeting out the following today:
Trainers, thank you for your feedback on EX Raid Battles. We're working to improve the invitation system based on what we heard from you.
— Niantic Support (@NianticHelp) October 24, 2017
EX Raid Battles began in a beta state last month. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been received terribly well.
As Polygon notes, EX Raid Battles requires players to be regular participants in the co-op gym feature, they tend to be tied to specific locations, and some legendary Pokemon such as Mewtwo could only be obtained this way. The necessary Premium Raid pass invitations were sent out on a random basis, and some players who only won a single standard Raid battle won the Premium Raid pass whereas those who regularly battled high-level Pokemon at a variety of gyms would leave empty handed.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp made with Unity

Super Mario Run was made with Unity. The same can be said of Nintendo’s latest game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
Unity confirmed the news on Twitter:
Villagers unite! Get ready to collect bells & shake trees. Live stream about @animalcrossing for mobile begins soon. #madewithunity https://t.co/aVQLxeP2vN
— Unity (@unity3d) October 25, 2017
We’ve started to see Nintendo experiment with various engines in recent years. The new Yoshi game for Switch, for example, runs on Unreal Engine 4.
