Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and free update announced

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has just revealed a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and a free update. Both are coming on January 15, 2026.
If you pick up the new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, you’ll be able to access a number of new features. These include improved resolution (4K when docked), mouse controls with the Joy-Con 2 to decorate indoors, create Custom Designs and even compose hand-written bulletin-board messages, the ability to locate residents by calling their names using the in-game megaphone item and built-in Nintendo Switch 2 microphone, 12-player sessions online if everyone is playing in the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and CameraPlay with friends.

We have the latest news about Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with The Pokemon Company confirming two issues detected with the game and providing information about upcoming adjustments for Ranked Battles with Season 2, which involves Mega Stones.
Currently two bugs have been identified. A patch is already in the works, which will fix things when it releases in November. Here’s what’s been shared:

Some major news has just dropped for Resident Evil Requiem, including a special Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and a Grace Ashcroft amiibo.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild getting new vinyl soundtrack release

Years after the game originally launched, Nintendo and Laced Records have announced a new vinyl soundtrack release for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This will be out on June 19, 2026.
A 2LP set with 34 tracks and an 8LP box set with 130 tracks will both be sold. If you’re interested in something a bit less expensive, the standard black vinyl collections will be available as well.
Scion is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch

Hamster has announced that for the latest Arcade Archives game, it’s releasing Scion. Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch are both receiving it tomorrow, October 30.
The title was initially launched by Seibu Kaihatsu. With the shooter, players are tasked with rescuing their captured kin.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars 1.1.4 update out now, patch notes

Another update has dropped for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, with the collection moving up to version 1.1.4.
This update is only aimed at those playing on Nintendo Switch 2. According to today’s notice, issues have been fixed when on that console specifically.

October 25: Amazon has outed the news early that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ and Order Up are coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
These appear to be the first games for the system coming from Nicalis. Neither title has been officially announced yet, but that should be changing soon.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide demo just released on Nintendo Switch 2

Heads up for Nintendo Switch 2 owners: a demo for SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide has now gone live, accessible via the eShop. This comes ahead of next month’s launch.
With the demo, players can access the first levels of the game. SpongeBob and Patrick are both playing, and the latter character’s new abilities can be accessed.
