Haunted House Renovator

Today, publisher PlayWay and developer Image Power announced Haunted House Renovator. As the name implies, it’s a game all about restoring haunted houses so that they can become hospitable.

Fighting EX: Layer Another Dash netcode 2.2.0

Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash will soon be getting a 2.2.0 update on Switch with “the next generation of netcode”, Arika president Akira Nishitani announced during the Fighting Game Roundtable 3 earlier today. The patch is planned for an April 1, 2022 release. Despite going out on that day, Nishitani confirmed that it’s not an April Fools’ Joke.

Earlier this month, Akira released a video demonstrating the use of the new netcode system and how it will improve the experience. Check out the full comparison video below.

Nine Sols

Red Candle Games, the studio behind Detention, opened a new crowdfunding campaign this week for Nine Sols. The funding goal of roughly $105,900 has already been reached, and the project is tentatively planned for Switch.

As far as systems are concerned, Red Candle Games explained that it’s planning release on “both the Nintendo and Sony consoles.” But porting won’t begin until the game’s development is nearing its end, “and due to the fact that Nine Sols’ development is in between console generations, it is difficult to provide a definitive list of supported platforms at the moment.” However, the team already has a Switch devkit.

Kung Fury: Street Rage - Ultimate Edition

Publisher Aurora Punks and developer Hello There Games today announced that Kung Fury: Street Rage – Ultimate Edition, a beat ’em up adventure, is on the way to Switch. A release is planned for this summer – expect a final release date to be shared soon.

The game is based on the Kung Fury film by Laser Unicorns and has players taking control of five different characters including Kung Fury, Hackerman, and even David Hasselhoff. The Switch edition comes with the Arcade Strikes Back and A Day at the Beach expansions, with the latter piece of content containing an entirely additional experience featuring a 2-player co-op mode, all-new levels, and boss battles.

Ages of Cataria

Ages of Cataria has been on Kickstarter where it’s found a ton of success. Despite looking to raise only $10,000, Third Pie Studios ended up with $80,000. After reaching that mark, a Switch stretch goal was also achieved.

Developer Sunwolf Entertainment and publisher Fireshine Games have announced that their 2D action platformer Imp of the Sun is coming to Switch. The game is set to be releasing soon on the platform.

Imp of the Sun is a 2D action platformer that draws strongly from Peruvian culture. In it, you control a sun Imp called Nin who must restore the world by preventing an Eternal Eclipse using his unique fire-based abilities. The game is being crafted with fluid movement and exploration in mind, with satisfying combo-based combat being a particular focus.

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. These include Ashen, Carto, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Human: Fall Flat, Roki, Slay the Spire, and more.

Inti Creates has prepared a new 1.4.0 update for Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2. It contains support for new DLC, an Assist Mode option for Hard Mode, and a ton of fixes.

The Ramp trailer
