We have the latest Nintendo maintenance schedule for the week of April 7, 2024. Not only Switch, but also 3DS and Wii U will be impacted – tying in with the shutdown of online play for those two older platforms.

Here’s the Nintendo maintenance schedule for the week of April 7, 2024:

Visions of Mana Switch

When Square Enix announced Visions of Mana at the end of last year, some were surprised that a Switch version was nowhere to be seen. For one thing, the series itself started out on Nintendo platforms. We’ve also seen Collection of Mana as a Switch exclusive while Trials of Mana came out a few years ago as well.

In an interview with RPG Site, series producer Masaru Oyamada commented on the situation. Here’s what he had to say when asked why Switch isn’t a part of the plan this time around:

A new month just started up this week. Now that we’re in April, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Did you recently start up Princess Peach: Showtime? What about other recent releases like Pepper Grinder? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line leap day bug

February 29: If you’ve been trying to play Theatrhythm Final Bar Line today but haven’t been able to do so, it seems that this is because leap day is causing issues.

When starting up the rhythm game, it’ll attempt to connect to Square Enix’s servers. However, it gets stuck in an endless loop and won’t progress to the main menu. Square Enix seems to not have accounted for leap day and that’s impacting the code in some manner.

Xenoblade 3 ending

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 art book came out this week in Japan, and it contains a pretty big interview with various members of the staff, including executive director / writer Tetsuya Takahashi.

At one point, Takahashi addressed a player survey with a specific topic about the administrator of Origin. This led him to mention that while fans may have some questions and may want to see certain things such as what happens after the end of the game, he’s asking them to wait for now and answers could follow in the future through additional titles.

Rusted Moss release date

March 18: Thanks to various retailer listings, we have the release date for Rusted Moss. It will be hitting Switch on June 20, 2024.

We first heard about Rusted Moss for Switch back in November. Playism said it would be publishing the title sometime this spring, but didn’t provide a more specific window.

Mamorukun Curse

City Connection and G.rev have announced a pair of games for Switch as Mamorukun Curse and Under Defeat are both on the way. Mamorukun Curse is slated for 2025. Under Defeat will be available sometime this winter.

Mamorukun Curse was previously released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’ll come with costume DLC, Fururu’s Challenges / Nowa’s Challenges stage DLC, new music from Yousuke Yasui, and improvements to Story Mode such as a widened 16:9 aspect ratio.

As for Under Defeat HD, that one also came out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’ll feature a new background music set by Shinji Hosoe, contribution and rank display function, a communications subtitles display function, and more.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk future

Following the success of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Team Reptile appears to be keen on working further on the franchise with more games.

The studio briefly touched on the future in a recent issue of EDGE. Co-founder Tim Remmers indicated that the team is interested in further ‘Cyberfunk’ games, and while it’s unclear what’s coming next, he mentioned a scrapped rhythm game that could be brought back in some form.
