Sony says PlayStation Portal isn’t a Switch competitor

Sony will soon be launching the PlayStation Portable, a device that lets users portably play PS5 games. That alone may have some comparing it to Switch. However, Sony boss Eric Lempel says it’s not a rival to Nintendo’s console or the Steam Deck for that matter.
Speaking with BBC, Lempel said “It’s a different proposition and really just something unique for the PlayStation audience.”

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon getting official soundtrack in Japan

Original (10/16): Today, PlatinumGames announced that Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be receiving an official soundtrack release in Japan. It will be available on December 20, 2023.
Wave Master Entertainment is behind the soundtrack. Fans will be able to listen to 150 songs from the game across six different tracks. There’ll be production staff commentary as well, though that’ll only be published in Japanese. However, English and Japanese translations of the theme song lyrics will be included in addition to the original Celtic text. Art director Tomoko Nishii will also be responsible for the book binding.

Dragon Ball FighterZ producer “debated about adding Videl a lot”

Videl is one playable character for Dragon Ball FighterZ who wasn’t originally a surefire inclusion. Tomoko Hiroki, the game’s producer, originally had some skepticism.
In a recent interview, Hiroki pointed to Videl as a character that was hard to decide on. Ultimately the uncertainty came down to whether “it was right to have her fight on the same level as other more canonically powerful characters.” But after talking with different people involved with the project and coming up with the idea of having Great Saiyaman to assist her in battle, she was able to make the cut.

Fire Emblem Engage Original Soundtrack announced for Japan

Original (10/25): A little more than a year after its Switch launch, Fire Emblem Engage will be getting an official soundtrack release in Japan. Intelligent Systems has announced that it will be available on March 20, 2023.
The Fire Emblem Engage Original Soundtrack will be comprised of seven discs in total. Along with music from the main game, songs from the Fell Xenologue will be included. Also planned is a bonus disc featuring voice data from the Wake-up Events, jingles, and more. Character designer MikaPikazo is contributing album art.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is coming to Switch next year, and you can say that the fans helped make it happen.
In an interview with Famitsu, Spike Chunsoft said that Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate received strong support from fans and sold well. This helped paved the way for the new project, which will be the first new mainline entry in over a decade.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players vote on favorite character, weapon, area, more

A recent issue of Famitsu contained a feature in which it published the results a player survey on Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A bunch of questions were answered, and fans voted on topics such as their favorite character, weapon, area in the game, and more. Results were based on feedback from 1,290 people, though some didn’t respond to every question.
When the survey was being conducted, 67.7% of survey participants said they beat Tears of the Kingdom, but 32.3% haven’t yet – those numbers should be very different today. 77.2% played 100 hours or more, 11.9% played between 50 and 100, 4.9% were between 30 and 50, 2.8% were between 10 and 30, 2.3% were between 1 and 10, and 0.9% played less than an hour.

Bandai Namco says Broly is a super attack type Raider with power that increases over the course of fierce battles. In fact, he’s more powerful than any other Raider in the game so far.
