Road Redemption dev further explains decision to reevaluate Wii U support

Wii U had long been a target platform for Road Redemption. In fact, the system was included in the game’s Kickstarter campaign.
But now it looks like things aren’t meant to be. DarkSeas said last month that Wii U support is being re-evaluated with NX on the horizon.
The studio further explained the decision on Kickstarter, writing:
“We like the Wii U as much as you guys do, if not more. Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 are some of our favorite games. Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks awesome and a great direction for the series, in my opinion. Some of my best gaming memories are playing Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 battle mode in splitscreen, and we were very excited about using the Wii U’s 2nd screen for local Road Redemption multiplayer.”
Ultimately the choice comes down to two factors:

Here’s the teaser:
Draw the Line is due out soon – perhaps within the next month or two.

Rain Games says Teslagrad “sold surprisingly well” on Wii U, World to the West platforms talk

Rain Games on the reception of Teslagrad as part of an interview with Nintendo-Okie. According to the developer, they’re “very happy with Teslagrad‘s performance, the vast majority of reviews were very positive and the audience reception has been great.” It was also mentioned that the game is sitting at roughly 1.6 million copies in total, and it “sold surprisingly well” on Wii U “considering the smaller install base”.
Next up for Rain Games is the company’s brand new project World to the West. Regarding potential platforms, the studio would only tease the following:
We’re definitely aiming for a multi-platform release and it will definitely be released in the future- We’re keeping a bit mum on the subject of which platforms it will launch on first- there’s some new hardware coming up, too, so that’s exciting. who knows, maybe it’ll even release on that (sly look)
