Pirate Pop Plus

Yesterday, some news emerged about Pirate Pop Plus for Wii U and 3DS and the involvement of Runbow creator 13AM Games. It’s all now been made official through a new Tumblr post from the studio.

Pirate Pop Plus is indeed coming to Wii U, and also New 3DS (instead of 3DS). Additionally, 13AM confirmed that it’s now getting into publishing.

13AM wrote:

13AM Games is no longer just 13AM Games! We have opened up to game publishing with our brand new publishing arm: 13AM Shipping Solutions!

We’re really excited to help bring indie games to console and PC, and our first projects is Dadako’s Pirate Pop Plus! A super addictive, gravity-defying, score-chasing, bubble-busting, gameboy-style arcade game for Wii U, New 3DS and Steam!

We will have more details in the coming weeks and months and hope to release the game soon! We’ve still got some work to do though, so be patient with us.

Anyways, as always thanks for the passion. We’re glad to be bringing more fun games to you guys whenever we can.

Oh and as for some rumors about a supposed extra playable character… I’m gonna have to stay mum on that one.

Tumblestone will launch for Wii U on July 12, The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild has announced. You’ll be able to purchase the game for $24.99.

Here’s an overview:

Tumblestone is the first original action-puzzle game of the past fifteen years – completely reinventing the genre into a deep and cerebral puzzle solving experience. Diverging from the staid match-3 formula of Bejeweled, Tumblestone strips out all the random gem flipping junk, and elevates the genre with unique puzzles and intense multiplayer gameplay in the spirit of Tetris Attack and Dr. Mario. This isn’t a game for people who want to lull themselves to sleep, no, Tumblestone is for gamers who love old-school puzzle games!

Brought to life with beautiful hand-painted artwork, Tumblestone offers several deep and exciting game modes for both single-player and competitive multiplayer. Help the Sausage King make friends and discover what happened to the Tumblecrown in the 40-hour story campaign featuring twelve worlds, each with a unique twist on the core mechanic. Test your mettle with up to four players in local and online multiplayer, or take on the world with ranked matchmaking and leaderboards. Indulge in multiple arcade modes, including fast-paced Heartbeat mode, brainy Infinipuzzle mode, and relaxing Marathon mode.

And a couple of trailers:

Work continues on Hex Heroes, Prismatic’s real-time-strategy party game which was funded a couple of years ago. Today, the team shared an update as to what’s been going on with the Wii U version.

Prismatic mentioned on Kickstarter that there have been some technical issues on Wii U. That mean the team needed to “revisit the very foundation of how the game is built.” You can read the full update on Kickstarter, but the good news is that progress is going relatively smoothly now. Prismatic hopes to soon have the Wii U version in line with the PC edition showed at GDC earlier this year.
