Ys X Proud Nordics

Nintendo has updated the Japanese Switch and Switch 2 release schedule on eShop for the week of July 31, 2025. Various new titles are on the way, highlighted by Ys X: Proud Nordics.

Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

Shadow Labyrinth review

System: Switch 2 (also on Switch)
Release date: July 17, 2025
Developer: Bandai Namco
Publisher: Bandai Namco

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during the pitch meeting for Shadow Labyrinth. Of all the ways Bandai Namco could have commemorated the 45th anniversary of Pac-Man, the idea the company landed on was to release an exploration-driven action-platformer set on a sprawling sci-fi planet. Not only that, but Bandai Namco greenlit, developed, and released a game in which the player is accompanied by a dark (possibly evil?) take on Pac-Man named Puck, who devours the souls of slain enemies to help the player level up. It’s a bonkers concept for a spin-off, and one I knew I needed to experience for myself to fully understand.

Yosei Wars

June 3: Rawrlab Games is making Yosei Wars for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, the studio announced today. A release window was not shared.

Yosei Wars is a 2D platformer inspired by the Game Boy era and arcade titles. In fact, it was originally designed as a homebrew release for Nintendo’s retro portable.

Donkey Kong Bananza ending explained

Donkey Kong Bananza has been out for a week now, and it’s been met with rave reviews across the board. If you’re playing through casually and not going for 100% completion, the game isn’t overly long – you can get through the main story in about 20 hours, so we’d imagine some of you have already rolled the credits. Donkey Kong Bananza contains plenty of interesting story elements, and today we’re analyzing how this could change the lore of the greater Mario franchise. Yes, we’re aware that it’s a Donkey Kong game and lore isn’t terribly important – but it’s still fun to speculate. Needless to say, there are major spoilers within, so you might want to bookmark this post and come back later if you haven’t beaten the game yet.

While there’s been no official announcement, it’s claimed that SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide will be releasing on Nintendo Switch 2.

The game itself has yet to be revealed. However, we know that it exists as it was previously rated in Germany. Interestingly, Nintendo Switch 2 was not part of that original classification, but it would make sense for THQ Nordic to bring the new SpongeBob game over to Nintendo’s latest console.

Wild Hearts S trailer

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force just issued a launch trailer for Wild Hearts S. Starting today, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can play the fantasy hunter.
