July 19: The Grand Fesival in Splatoon 3 is set to start on September 13, Nintendo have announced. The event will last for 72 hours, and will mark the two-year anniversary of the game.

The official announcement video, which you can view below, gives us a preview of what is to come. It also details the Splatfest that will happen during the event, which will give players a choice between Past, Present, and Future.

Winteryear Studios Los Angeles have announced that they will be bringing The Next World to Switch. The game is an open-world, action-adventure cyberpunk RPG, set in a dystopian Los Angeles in the year 2108. In it, you’ll be playing as a systems engineer for a corrupt corporation, undertaking corporate espionage missions in exchange for medical costs for your dying mother.

Nintendo’s latest maintenance schedule for the week of August 25, 2024 is now available.

As of now, just one sessions is on the docked. Switch online play will be affected during the early part of the week, but not for very long.

Tales from Toyotoki Arrival of the Witch trailer

Aksys Games is promoting the western release of Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch with a new trailer. After it initially came to Japan, fans in other regions can experience the visual novel.

MySims Switch

August 23: MySims, EA’s franchise that was prominent during the Wii and DS era, could now be making a comeback on Switch.

Various listings for the game have been spotted in Europe. As shared by ResetEra user –R, Virtex and World of Games list the title, simply called MySims. Neither retailer provides any details, but one of the listings contain the boxart. It also seems that the game could be releasing on November 19, 2024, though that’s yet to be confirmed.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash physical

Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash will soon be appearing on Switch, and for those interested in a physical version, there’s good news on that front.

Japan will be offering two boxed versions that fully support English. Aside from a standard edition, Cygames is planning a collector’s edition. The latter includes a few extras – specifically a “Hachauma” sticker and voucher code for a Special Item Set in the mobile game Umamusume: Pretty Derby, “Team Bundle” DLC, “Hachauma” block figure set, “Hachauma” special pouch, and “Hachauma” art book.

Crash Team Rumble Switch

Did You Know Gaming published a new report about Toys for Bob today, and it claims that Crash Team Rumble was cancelled for Switch.

Crash Team Rumble originally released in June 2023. Unfortunately, the game failed to make an impact. Sales were low and there wasn’t much interested in watching the game at places such as Twitch. Did You Know Gaming says that a Switch version of Crash Team Rumble was in development at one point, but Activision cancelled the port “due to the lack of interest in the other versions.”
