Tying in with the launch of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Ubisoft has readied a day one version 1.0.1 update.
The update includes some balancing, an improved guided Mode experience, refreshed audio mix, and UI polish. Of course, there are bug fixes as well.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of December 2023.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder did quite well, moving to #2 after being at #5 previously. Mario Kart 8, Super Mario RPG, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are other Switch titles that made the top twenty.

It took a bit of time, but the Skul: The Hero Slayer version 1.8.0 “Demon King Castle Defense” update has made it to consoles, including Switch. This is also known as version 1.8.0.
The update includes a new “Demon King Castle” chapter plus two new bosses. The Mythology Pack can be purchased now as well.

Arc System Works and ProjectMoon are teaming up to bring Library of Ruina to Switch, the two sides announced today. A release is scheduled for April 25, 2024 in Japan and Spring 2024 elsewhere.
Library of Ruina is a library battle simulation game in which players invite guests to the library and engage in combat with them to gain ‘Books’ with their stories. Learn more in the following overview:

The final update for Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is now available.
Players can get their hands on a new wave of content. 20 new weapons, neon abilities, and some neon head-pieces and colors for the Unit Creator are the highlights.

Thanks to the latest data from GSD, the best-selling games of 2023 have been revealed.
EA Sports FC 24 came out on top despite selling 9 percent fewer units in 2023 compared with FIFA 23 in 2022. Hogwarts Legacy followed in second – no game has sold this many units in a calendar year since 2017 aside from EA’s football/soccer titles.

2024 Game Developers Choice Awards nominees announced

Nominees for the 2024 Game Developers Choice Awards have now been announced.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, along with Baldur’s Gate 3, are tied with seven nominations including Game of the Year. Cocoon, another Switch game, earned five nominations of its own. That one is up for Game of the Year as well along with eShop exclusives Dave the Diver and Dredge.

After it was initially only sold digitally, Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains is getting a physical release on Switch. Serenity Forge, who is in charge of production, is planning a Q4 2024 launch.
