Nintendo Treehouse: Live for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom announced

A new Nintendo Treehouse: Live for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will air next week, Nintendo has announced. It will kick off at 6:45 PM PT / 9:45 PM ET / 2:45 AM in the UK / 3:45 AM in Europe. This will be the leadup to the midnight launch at Nintendo New York.
According to Nintendo, the live stream will contain four segments featuring gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There’ll be even more content counting down to the game’s release afterwards.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened getting a physical release on Switch

Super Rare Games announced today that it intends to give Dungeon Defenders: Awakened the physical treatment on Switch.
4,000 copies will be made in total. Each unit includes all current Switch-released content on its cart at the time of printing, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.
Splatoon 3 announces Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Splatfest

Original (4/14): To celebrate next month’s launch of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a special Splatfest will be held in Splatoon 3. Players are being asked whether they’d side with power, wisdom, or courage.
Something that’s been teased as part of the event is a special Tricolor Turf War stage in the Scorch Gorge with “unusual, triangular geometry” – obviously a nod to the Triforce from Zelda. You can get a closer look below.
Nintendo Switch Online adds Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury icons

Original (4/6): The Nintendo Switch Online app just started up a new round of user icons for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Five waves are planned in total, with the lineup rotating out every Thursday. It should all wrap up on May 11.
Icons can be redeemed for characters, backgrounds, and frames. For characters, they cost 10 Platinum Points which can be earned through My Nintendo. Backgrounds and frames are priced at 5 Platinum Points each.
LEGO 2K Drive details post-launch Drive Pass plans

Biomutant coming to Switch

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 are bringing Biomutant to Switch, the two sides just announced. A release is planned for November 30, 2023.
Biomutant is an open world action RPG. While it originally debuted in 2021, it’ll be appearing on Nintendo’s console for the first time.

The Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer happening. In a blog post today, 2K and Firaxis shared the news.
It’s unclear what happened. The blog merely states: “Note that a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned.”
