Sonic Frontiers fishing Big the Cat

Back when we published our Sonic Frontiers hands-on preview a few months ago, we noted that the title would include a fishing mini-game. An off-screen video has now surfaced that provides a bit of footage, including a look at Big the Cat who we haven’t seen until now.

It’s assumed that the video was recorded at Gamescom 2022 last month. Sonic Frontiers was playable at an expo for the first time, giving many fans a hands-on opportunity.

Splatoon 3

This week’s UK software sales are in, with Splatoon 3 topping the chart in its first week.

This marks the first game in the series to hit that mark. Splatoon and Splatoon 2 both debuted at #2. Launch sales for Splatoon 3 actually saw a 9 percent dip compared to the previous title, but keep in mind that digital sales are not factored in here. Splatoon 3 is the 21st best week one on Switch when it comes to games sold (as opposed to revenue), just behind Splatoon 2.

Here’s the latest UK sales chart:

Splatoon 3 sales

Splatoon 3 domestic sales have surpassed 3.45 million units in its first three days on the market, Nintendo has announced. That’s the highest domestic sales level for any Switch game within that timeframe.

Nintendo’s announcement seems to be based on Japanese sales only, so Splatoon 3’s total should be higher than this amount worldwide.

Today’s news is based on Nintendo’s own internal numbers. It includes both packaged and downloadable versions.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. This week, Tactics Ogre: Reborn makes its first appearance.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between August 25 and August 31.

Konami’s Tokyo Game Show 2022 website listed the game earlier today – it will be shown off at the expo next month as a partner title.

When it comes to Switch, Trouble Witches Final! Episode 01: Daughters of Amalgam will feature two new playable characters plus new Magic Cards. There’ll be nine modes in the final release.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 spoilers

It’s been a while since the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and even though the game is massive, some of us already finished the experience. As it is with a JRPG like this, there’s usually a lot to talk about with regard to the story, exploration, combat and more.

That’s why today’s video is actually a – very long – discussion about Xenoblade Chronicles 3, full of spoilers. If you already played it, feel free to check the video down below and share your own opinions about the game.
