New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat isn’t the only “retro” title heading to the North American Wii U eShop tomorrow. Nintendo’s website reveals that Mario Hoops 3-on-3 is getting a digital release as well.

Here’s the overview:

“It’s a whole new ball game when the superstars from the Mushroom Kingdom and some special guests throw down on the court. Use the touch screen on the Wii U™ GamePad to execute tricky dribbles, special passes, and sweet shots. Collect coins for extra points, and the highest score wins at the sound of the buzzer!”

Another Wii title is launching on the North American Wii U eShop this week. According to a listing on Nintendo’s website, New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is due out tomorrow.

Here’s a brief overview:

“Take control of DK with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as you swing, swim, and battle against the fiercest jungle beasts to prove your worth. Earn combo multipliers by collecting bananas as you explore volcano caves, snowy peaks, and fantastic skyscapes. Friendly animal pals can offer hints or a ride across the jungle!”

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat originally debuted on GameCube. In the New Play Control! version, the controls of the DK Bongos were replaced, new levels were included, and some existing areas were reworked.

New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will cost $19.99 on the Wii U eShop.

It was over a year ago when we heard about Slain! coming to Wii U. Unfortunately, it now seems that it’s unlikely for the eShop.

When asked about the status of Slain! on Wii U, the game’s developer said:

“No, we can’t confirm Wii U date, or that it is happening just yet. We were hoping it would but sales on that platform are just too weak to justify the port from what we have seen.”

Slain! was originally featured in an announcement from Nintendo last March about games in development for the Wii U eShop. In fact, the game still has a listing on Nintendo’s North American website.
