Super Mario Maker

Super Mario Maker beaten all levels

Just a few weeks left to go before the game shuts down, Super Mario Maker players have managed to beat all of the game’s courses.

The Last Dance was the final level that was uncleared. However, that actually happened last week. A user going by the name Yamada_SMM2 managed to beat the stage, which took place on March 15.

Nintendo Everything Podcast 106

This week on Nintendo Everything Podcast, we’re getting Animal Crossing’s Turkey Day out of the way and chatting about Hyrule Warriors. Oni Dino has spoiler-lite impressions on SWERY’s The Missing. We then chat about Wii U Maio Maker’s early stages of being “sunset” as they love to say. Finally, the listener mail has a great food for thought for us: the general normalization of monetizing games. From DLC to microtransactions to loot boxes to season passes.

Nintendo has announced that several online services for the Wii U title Super Mario Maker will soon be discontinued, and the title will no longer be available for purchase on the Wii U eShop. The full statement is as follows:

Another piece of information surrounding Super Mario Maker 2 has emerged from a press event which took place last week.

A Nintendo Treehouse representative has stated that courses created in Super Mario Maker on Wii U can’t be played or transferred to Super Mario Maker 2. The same goes for levels made in the 3DS version.

As for why transferring isn’t possible, the representative mentioned that the extensive list of new items and features was a big factor in the incompatibility.

Super Mario Maker on Wii U and 3DS have both received updates. The two games are at version 1.47 and 1.04 respectively.

Below are the patch notes for Super Mario Maker:

– Accompanying the ending of the Miiverse service, new comments can no longer be added and existing comments can no longer be viewed on uploaded courses. Courses can still be uploaded, played, and evaluated.
– A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.

And Super Mario Maker for 3DS:

A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.

Nintendo has scheduled maintenance for the Super Mario Maker Bookmark. While it’s taking place, the service may be unavailable.

Here’s the maintenance schedule:

– 4:45 PM PT (November 7) – 10 PM PT (November 7)
– 7:45 PM ET (November 7) – 2 AM ET (November 8)
– 12:45 AM in the UK (November 8) – 7 AM in the UK (November 8)

The special course designed for the Nintendo World Championships 2017 was added to Super Mario Maker earlier today. Check out some footage below.

It’s been awhile since Super Mario Maker last received some new content. But earlier today, the course from the Nintendo World Championships was added. If you’re interested in taking on that level for yourself, you now have the opportunity to do so.

A small update is now live for Super Mario Maker, which is version 1.46. It’s a pretty small patch all things considered.

Nintendo’s full rundown of the update is as follows:

– Addressed an issue that caused text in the e-manual to display incorrectly.
– A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience. (Released originally on 4/27/17)

Nintendo conducted a bit of Super Mario Maker maintenance tonight. That was likely done to pave way for a new update which is out now on both Wii U and 3DS.

On Wii U, Super Mario Maker is at version 1.46. The 3DS version now stands at 1.03. In both cases, Nintendo says: “A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.”
