Wii U eShop

Last week, Runbow received a new 1.1.0 patch. The update mainly fixes issues with online gameplay and external hard drives, but “a little secret” has also been added to the game mode selection screen. It sounds like the game could be getting more content based on 13AM Games’ tease.

Head past the break for the full breakdown and patch notes.

We already shared some footage of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, which launched in Europe last week as a Virtual Console game for Wii U. A video of the Blue Rescue Team version is below.

Yoshi’s Story just arrived on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console a couple of hours ago. Check out some gameplay below.

Shutshimi was made available on the North American Wii U eShop last month. Those in Europe, however, have been wondering when they’ll have access to the game.

Neon Deity Games did share an update on this front during a Reddit AMA yesterday. Regarding the European release, the studio wrote:

“… We recently received our ratings for the EU region. We have a couple minor tests and fixes to prepare, but hopefully it’ll be soon! We can’t give exact dates due to how unpredictable the certification process is, but I would hope for it to ready in a couple of months. Maybe more, but maybe less! We haven’t forgotten our EU friends! It’s just a bit more work, that’s all!”

As far as Shutshimi’s pricing goes, that’s up to Choice Provisions. It should be roughly equivalent to $9.99.

RCMADIAX has made over a dozen games for Wii U starting with BLOK DROP U back in 2014. But going forward, the indie developer will be looking to focus on quality over quantity.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, RCMADIAX’s Michael Aschenbrener mentioned that he’d like to launch only a game or two each year. He hopes to start this with his next release, Super Robo Mouse. If successful, we won’t see RCMADIAX’s next game until around 2018 or 2019.

Aschenbrener’s words in full:

“Ideally I would love to develop just a single project at a time – releasing maybe once per year or two. This is the goal starting with SUPER ROBO MOUSE, and should it prove successful, you would likely not see my next release until 2018/2019.”
