Zelda: Breath of the Wild dev on how the sound effects were made

Sound effects are an important aspect of game development, but it took on an especially big priority in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There’s a greater emphasis on exploration and nature, so it isn’t always filled with bombastic music that the series is known for.
In a piece published on Nintendo’s recruitment site, developer Takuro Yasuda provided some insight into the creation of sound effects in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Interestingly, it was shared that he used his own voice for the Yiga Clan. Yasuda also touched on how he came up with the idea of different sounds being played for Link’s bag depending on which foot the character was stepping on.
Our full translation of the piece regarding sound effects in Zelda: Breath of the Wild is as follows:

Fan turns Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Hyrule into Mario Kart 8 track

A new fan-made Mario Kart 8 track is turning heads because of how well it adapts the world of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time into a raceway. It’s based on Nintendo’s 3DS remake of the N64 classic rather than the 1998 original.
RiazorMC shared the creation on YouTube, which features different Hyrule sections for each of its laps. In the first section, you start off in Kokiri Forest before moving to Hyrule Field and Gerudo’s Fortress. The second lap is the journey to Lake Hylia. Finally, in the third lap, there’s a quick stop in Kakariko Village and then ultimately Death Mountain. Fans seem to agree that the course could be better at directing you where to go, but otherwise is impressive.

Some reports are making the rounds regarding an issue with Wii U consoles in which they could be corrupted due to nonuse.
Lingering memory system errors seem to be the culprit here with the error code 160-0103 appearing on screen. One person going by the name “Cireza” says that their system is no longer working despite having it in a box for many years. Nothing was done to the console, and it isn’t modded in any way.

A severe vulnerability known as ENLBufferPwn has been found in various Switch, 3DS, and Wii U games. PabloMK7, Rambo6Glaz, Fishguy6564 were credited for the discovery. The vulnerability, first uncovered in 2021, was already reported to Nintendo.
The exploit is especially significant since a victim’s device can be easily taken over. This can be done merely by having an online game session with an attacker. Given the 9.8/10 (Critical) score it received in the CVSS 3.1 calculator, that goes to show how serious it is.

Inside the Nintendo E3 2012 conference with infamous Nintendo Land fireworks ending
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Former Nintendo of America employees Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang have shared insight into the company’s notorious E3 2012 press conference which ended on the display of fireworks from Nintendo Land. The two reflected on what happened during a recent episode of their podcast.
Nintendo has had some amazing moments at E3, but some infamous ones as well. Some will probably never forget the Wii Music performance with DJ Ravi Drums in 2008 and things going wrong during Shigeru Miyamoto’s demo of Zelda: Skyward Sword in 2010. Unfortunately, another instance of things not exactly going well was the aforementioned Nintendo Land closer.
