If you own Super Mario Party Jamboree, a new version 2.2.0 update is now available to download. This is for both the original Nintendo Switch version and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.

Nintendo Switch 2 is where we see most of the adjustments. For one thing, Jamboree can now be played at full HD of 1080p. Also worth noting, the difficulty of Carnival Coaster has been adjusted.

We have the full details from Nintendo below.

Splatoon 3 will soon be going live with its latest update, with Nintendo having announced version 10.1.0. It will be available on September 3 in North America and September 4 in Europe.

This patch is all about balance adjustments. Changes have been made to a few main weapons while modifications are also planned for multiplayer “based on changes observed after adding the Splatlands Collection.”

The full rundown is as follows:

Two new Nintendo Switch Online games are on the way, with North America getting Forsaken 64 while Japan is set to receive Magical Vacation.

Forsaken 64 originally launched in 1998. Probe Entertainment was behind the title, which was a first-person shooter.

According to a new report, Switch 2 could have launched earlier than it did, but Nintendo delayed things in order to focus on the quality of its games.

That claim comes from Bloomberg. The outlet, citing “people familiar with the matter”, says “Nintendo repeatedly pushed back plans for the Switch 2’s launch after its designers asked for more time to perfect the games that would accompany the new hardware”.

We’ve got a launch trailer for the CRPG and JRPG mix The Nameless: Slay Dragon. After it first came out last year, the game recently made its way to Nintendo Switch.

Here’s the official Nintendo eShop description:

August 19: Announced today, Pocket Nook will be appearing on Nintendo Switch from RedDeerGames. For the time being we do not have a release window.

Pocket Nook has players designing charming spaces in cozy pixel art. You’ll be shifting the layout, placing furniture, and keeping everything neat and clean.

Here’s some additional information:

Square Enix is leaving the door open to just about everything when it comes to the tactics genre, including revisiting more classics such as remasters of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and A2, and even Final Fantasy Tactics sequels.

That information comes from Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles director Kazutoyo Maehiro. Inverse recently asked about the possibility of bringing back Tactics Advance and A2 – titles that have only stayed on GBA and Nintendo DS. Maehiro not only expressed interest in that, but also “sequels and new titles”.

September 1: A few days before the official launch, the first gameplay has apparently emerged showing Star Wars Outlaws running on Nintendo Switch 2.

Footage of the port has been limited thus far. The title has been shown in a Nintendo Direct and developer video, but that’s pretty much it.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending August 30, 2025 is now available.

There were several new releases this week, but for the most part, Nintendo was able to withstand the competition. Mario Kart World is only down one spot to #2 while Donkey Kong Bananza is at #6.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land lands at #7 – its new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition accounted for 85 percent of the game’s sales. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar comes in at #9, with the split being 59 percent for Nintendo Switch 2 and 41 for Switch. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance struggles a bit more, as it debuts at #21 with a split of 75 percent for PS5, 24 percent for Nintendo Switch, and 1 percent for PC.
