We played more games at PAX West this year than we have time to feature individually, but there were a ton of little surprises we had the chance to try that we’re looking forward to seeing on Switch. Following an initial launch earlier this year, Deflector is about to appear on Switch. Publisher RedDeerGames and developer Arrowfist Games confirmed today that it will hit the console on September 29, 2023.
Deflector is a top down action rogue-lite “in which players will be thrown straight into the middle of a rapid-fire battle for survival, where reflexes and speed of reaction determine the existence or… extermination.” More information can be found in the following overview:
In the latest Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character spotlight, the team is showing off Aang – from Avatar: The Last Airbender – and his moveset.
Aang returns from the previous game, but has a new moveset and an updated design. He can use his air scooter and glider, but now has another jump. Overall, he has strong movement capabilities and combo potential. As the Avatar, Aang is also able to use different elements in his attacks. As a downside, since he’s one of the lightest characters in the game, he’s easier to knock out.
THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp today announced a new update for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, which will bring along a Photo Mode and new costumes.
With Photo Mode, users can take advantage of 19 different filters. Those that collect all doubloons will receive a King Doubloon costume while unlocking all rewards provide the Plush Gary costume.
Square Enix today shared the latest details on Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai, including the game’s Temple of Recollection and Challenge Mode. These features “will test the skills and abilities of Dragon Quest fans and gamers in the upcoming action role-playing game.

Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is heading to Switch, publisher Untold Tales and developer Exit Plan Games announced today. The title is slated for October 5, 2023 on Nintendo’s console.
Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is a goofy, destructible open-world sandbox adventure game with combat, platforming, character customization, and collect-a-thon scavenger hunting that can be played alone or in co-op. When it comes to Switch, the game will include a new open-world map that has players time-traveling through feudal and modern Japan to fight a giant Kaiju.
Nintendo have announced that Mario Kart Tour will no longer receive any new content after the Battle Tour, which is scheduled to go live on October 4. All content that is brought to the game following this will be from previous tours.
It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. It’s business as usual for Super Mario RPG with the game taking the top spot once again.

Splatoon 3 celebrated its first anniversary this weekend with a special Splatfest, and we now have the results from the Shiver vs. Frye vs. Big Man event.
The halftime report showed that things were extremely close. Shiver was in the lead, but you could almost say it was a three-way tie. It was 33.80% for Team Shiver, 33.11% for Team Frye, and 33.09% for Team Big Man.
