Nintendo has just updated One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition for Switch which now allow you to use both left and right Joy-Cons for co-op play.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition launched for Switch last December in Japan. A western release has yet to be announced yet for the game.

Update (2/11): Eurogamer has updated its original report, and says that “Bandai Namco’s Japan studio is also working on the project, with the intention it will now take the lead on its development while Singapore moves to focus on another Switch game”. The site does not elaborate further beyond this. However, Eurogamer now seems to believe that Bandai Namco Japan is the lead studio on Metroid Prime 4 as opposed to Bandai Namco Singapore.

Original (2/9): Rumors of Bandai Namco working on Metroid Prime 4 picked up this week following a discovery on a LinkedIn profile page. This person listed an “unannounced IP (first person shooter/adventure exclusive to the Nintendo Switch)”, which would fit the bill for the project.

Eurogamer now says that Bandai Namco Singapore is indeed behind Metroid Prime 4. The site’s sources say that they’re the “lead studio on the game in collaboration with Nintendo.” Bandai Namco Singapore has some talent from the now defunct LucasArts Singapore, who previously worked on the cancelled Star Wars 1313.

Nintendo has worked with a few third-parties in the past to distribute their games at retail in Europe. Previous examples of this on Switch include Doom, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and the German title Schlag den Star.

Next up will be Dark Souls: Remastered. At retail, Nintendo will behind the game’s distribution on Switch. We don’t have the specifics on the deal, but the game will at least have pricing parity with other platforms at €39.99.

Some major discoveries appear to have been made on the LinkedIn profile of a Bandai Namco staffer. Two significant Switch projects are listed on the CV, and both are apparently exclusives.

The first game is an unannounced first-person shooter/adventure. The second we have more information on, and is clearly called labeled as Ridge Racer 8.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is almost here. The game now has its own page on the North American eShop.

For those curious, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus takes up 2.3GB of space. It launches on February 22.

A few hours ago, we posted some gameplay footage of Aegislash. Now, the Japanese Pokemon channel has shadow sneaked in a trailer, as well. From first impressions, this guy seems like a sacred sword with an iron defense.

A noble Pokemon, Aegislash is said to recognize trainers who have the innate qualities of royalty. I wonder if you can make its stance change?

Now that the new DLC has landed, plenty of footage is surfacing showing new fighter Aegislash as well as the supports Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. Check out some gameplay below.

Pokken Tournament DX

Pokken Tournament DX’s new update has gone live. Version 1.2.0 has just started distribution.

Oddly, Nintendo’s patch notes only make mention of a couple of things. Compatibility with Battle Pack Wave 1 has been added, along with support for video capture.

At least for now, the patch notes don’t cover any of the many balance changes. We’ll add them in here if Nintendo shares the details, but for the time being, we’ve included the unofficial translation below.

At EVO Japan this weekend, new footage of Aegislash was shown in Pokken Tournament DX. Check out the relevant recording below.

Aegislash will be available as part of the first batch of Pokken Tournament DLC on January 31. Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu will be offered in the same pack as support Pokemon.

GameXplain has shared more footage from Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus on Switch showing the new two-player mode. Check out the gameplay below.
