Club Nintendo

Time is quickly running out on one of the Club Nintendo promotions for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U/3DS. If you haven’t already registered your games, be sure to do that before tomorrow ends – otherwise you won’t receive your soundtrack CD. The CD will ship sometime in March.

Those who partake in the Club Nintendo promotion will receive two bonuses. Along with the soundtrack CD, players will be provided with free Mewtwo DLC this spring.

You can find more information on the official page here.

A lucky Club Nintendo member has already received their New 3DS Ambassador Edition and was kind enough to create an unboxing video for all our greedy little eyes to see, and I am sure we will be seeing alot more of these flood YouTube as more orders arrive in European homes.

Yesterday Club Nintendo of Europe sent an email inviting select members to order a special Ambassador Edition of the new 3DS and it appears as if they are already arriving in homes! Several posts to twitter have shown pictures of the glossy white boxes being delivered to some homes less than 24 hours after placing their orders!

If you’re a Club Nintendo member in Europe, you may have received an email today regarding the New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador offer. Some fans are being given the opportunity to purchase the special system today – but not all.

Nintendo is keeping quiet regarding how certain members were selected for the offer. The company would only tell Eurogamer the following:

“The New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador offer is by email invitation only for selected Club Nintendo members in Europe only who fulfil a certain criteria, we are unable to disclose such business information, however we would like to reassure you that we are continually looking at different promotional offerings we can bring to consumers at various times throughout the year.

The terms and conditions for such promotional activities are individual to each promotion, but we will endeavour to bring you more promotional activities in the future, which we hope you will be able to take advantage of.”

Club Nintendo of Europe is sending out an email to select members.

The letter states that there will be a  Special Edition of the New 3DS available to only a select number of members before it officially launches in Europe.

The Ambassador Edition will be very limited and only available through Club Nintendo until January 12th.

This special edition will contain the New 3DS, exclusive Ambassador cover plates, Super Smash Bros. cover plate, and a charging cradle.

There is no word at this time if this offer will be coming to the West.

Nintendo has a promotion running all around the world for Super Smash Bros. owners on Wii U and 3DS. By registering both games on Club Nintendo, you can receive a free soundtrack CD and access to Mewtwo DLC this spring.

We haven’t heard about too many issues pertaining to the promotion, but those in the the Scandinavian region are dealing with a major problem. Here’s what reader Håkon sent us:

It seems as though the Scandinavian region is cheated out of the Smash Bros.-promotion with the soundtrack and Mewtwo being provided to those who purchased versions for both the Wii U and the 3DS.

As the 13th of January draws closer, and the last date on which you are allowed to register games for the promotion, Bergsala (the Nordic distributor of all Nintendo games and merchandise) has yet to make any statement on how or if they will provide this promotion to the loyal fans in this region. This is by no means the first time Bergsala is unable to keep up with the content offered by the company in other regions.

I personally attempted to get a statement from Bergsala regarding this matter, but the only reply I got was that they had “no information regarding these campaigns at the moment”. Of course, this could be no more than corporate talk, but there are currently no signs that they have any plans of including us this time around either.

Seems like the Nordic region is yet again left out in the cold.

Hopefully things can get sorted out over there soon!

Club Nintendo Europe is back up and running following yesterday’s issues. Note that if you’re missing stars, they haven’t gone anywhere. Nintendo is in the process of restoring proper point values.

Unfortunately, Club Nintendo Europe is down at the moment. Nintendo says that the issues are due to a power cut. The situation is currently being looked into, and service will be restored as soon as possible.
