Pokemon Scarlet Violet Greavard

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet just revealed a new creature today, and we now know it’s called Greavard. We also have first details and a proper in-game video.

Greavard is officially a Ghost Dog Pokemon that comes with the Pickup Ability. It seems to be a pretty friendly creature, but it “will slowly and inadvertently absorb the life-force of those around it”.

Here’s some additional information:

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Ghost-type

Pokemon Sword Shield Glastrier and Spectrier

In what could be the last major Max Raid Battle event for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, Glastrier and Spectrier are being featured. Players can team up with other Trainers to defeat the Legendary Pokemon in battle.

Unfortunately, you won’t actually be able to catch these creatures. They’re only intended to provide a challenge in battle.

lets talk pokemon scarlet or pokemon violet

We’re about a month away from the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the latest entry in the legendary franchise that started up over 25 years ago. The games will largely be the same, but like past entries, a few details will set them apart.

Something we saw with the original games is that a few select creatures were exclusive to each version, and that’s once again the case here. As one example, Koraidon is the main Legendary Pokemon for Scarlet while Miraidon is the Violet counterpart. Additionally, those playing Pokemon Scarlet will encounter Professor Sada while Pokemon Violet has Professor Turo. Small outfit changes are also included. You can find more information here.

So which version are you thinking of going for? Maybe you plan on picking up both? Let us know in the comments.

Bellibolt Pokemon Scarlet Violet

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have revealed Bellibolt, another new creature for the games. This is said to be an EleFrog Pokemon.

According to The Pokemon Company, “Bellibolt expands and contracts its elastic body to generate electricity in an organ that looks like a belly button. The huge amount of electricity generated this way is then discharged from the two bumps on either side of its head that resemble eyeballs. Its actual eyes are adorably small and round.”

Following on from yesterday’s video, which introduced us to Iono, the Gym Leader of Levincia in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the official Japanese Pokemon Twitter account have announced that she will reveal her partner Pokemon in another video tomorrow, October 14. The video will be released at the same time as the previous one, 9am EDT/2pm BST/23pm AEST.
