New Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World details – 60 FPS on New 3DS, 30 FPS on original 3DS

This month, Game Informer published a preview on Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. It’s only one page, but there are some interesting details included.
Perhaps most noteworthy is that Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will run at 60 frames per second on New 3DS. If you’re playing on an original 3DS or 2DS, expect it to drop to 30 frames per second.

A screenshot from Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World found on Amazon Japan last night indicated that players would be able to customize Yoshi. On its European Twitter page, Nintendo confirmed the news. You’ll be able to make your own patterns for Yoshi that appear in-game.

Amazon has revealed the Japanese Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World boxart, which we’ve attached above. On top of that, Nintendo will release an amiibo bundle containing Poochy and Pink Yarn Yoshi. The packaging image can be found below.

As shown in the last screenshot, it looks like you’ll be able to customize Yoshi. The actual specifics are a bit unclear for the time being, however.

The developers behind StreetPass Mii Plaza’s new games

Right after the latest Nintendo Direct, new games were added to the StreetPass Mii Plaza. There are now five new ones to collect in total.
Like the previous batches of StreetPass Mii Plaza releases, these new ones were made by different developers. Let’s take a look at who those are:
– Slot-Car Rivals: Good Feel
– Market Crashers: Good Feel
– Ninja Launcher: Prope
– Feed Mii: Prope
– Mii Trek: Arzest
All three of these developers have been working on StreetPass Mii Plaza for awhile, so their involvement here is no major surprise. Still, it’s interesting to see who exactly was behind each one.

Video: A look at an unused level in Yoshi’s Woolly World

A few days ago, Twitter user Random Talking Bush posted a whole bunch of images showing unused content from Yoshi’s Woolly World. He’s also now posted a video of a level that didn’t make it into the final game. It seems to be the same level used at one point in development back when it was known as Yarn Yoshi, but there are a few changes.
