The release date of Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is just over a month away, and Nintendo just released a new trailer for the game alongside a press release which highlights the game’s features.

By scanning the Yarn Poochy amiibo, players can summon Poochy to help them out. When you scan the amiibo during Poochy Dash stages, you will instead unlock fast-paced Time Attack challenges, which reward you with new Poochy patterns when you beat them.

Mellow Mode is back from the Wii U version, but in addition to having wings, Yoshi can also count on the help of the Poochy Pups, who will seek out secrets and hidden collectables and also can be used to attack enemies.

A great variety of amiibo can be used to unlock new patterns for Yoshi, and new additions for the 3DS version include the Splatoon and Animal Crossing amiibo.

As previously announced, the game also includes 30 stop-motion animations by the Japanese animation studio Dwarf.

Finally, an update is coming to the Wii U version of Yoshi’s Woolly World on February 3rd that will add compatibility with the Yarn Poochy amiibo.

Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will be released on February 3rd in Europe and North America.

Amazon has now posted the official packaging for the European Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo bundle. Have a look at it above.

This month, Game Informer published a preview on Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. It’s only one page, but there are some interesting details included.

Perhaps most noteworthy is that Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will run at 60 frames per second on New 3DS. If you’re playing on an original 3DS or 2DS, expect it to drop to 30 frames per second.

We recently got a glimpse at the Japanese Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World boxart. Now thanks to Amazon, the North American version is available. Check it out above.

More:

Right after the latest Nintendo Direct, new games were added to the StreetPass Mii Plaza. There are now five new ones to collect in total.

Like the previous batches of StreetPass Mii Plaza releases, these new ones were made by different developers. Let’s take a look at who those are:

– Slot-Car Rivals: Good Feel
– Market Crashers: Good Feel
– Ninja Launcher: Prope
– Feed Mii: Prope
– Mii Trek: Arzest

All three of these developers have been working on StreetPass Mii Plaza for awhile, so their involvement here is no major surprise. Still, it’s interesting to see who exactly was behind each one.
