Yoshi’s Crafted World will release on March 29, Nintendo has announced. Previously, it had been confirmed for a spring release window.

Here’s the latest information from Nintendo:

Yoshi’s Crafted World received the spotlight with some new gameplay during today’s Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation. We have the recording below.

Sometimes when a game is ported to a new system, the original developer isn’t involved. That won’t be the case with Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, however.

A classification in Australia shows that Good Feel, who originally created Kirby’s Extra Yarn, will be working directly on the new 3DS version. Usually if another studio such as Grezzo is working on the project, they’d be listed in the rating. But that’s not the case for the Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn listing in Australia.

Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn launches in 2019. It’ll have new features, including “the ability to craft bigger yarn balls, summon bead-collecting wind and play two new modes featuring familiar faces King Dedede and Meta Knight.”

During the last Nintendo Direct, Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn was announced. The 2010 Wii game will be making its way to 3DS sometime in 2019.

Following the presentation, Nintendo added a listing for Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn to its website. There was some concern that the port would be exclusive to New 3DS as that platform was actually listed on the official page. However, that won’t be the case after all.

Nintendo has updated the Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn listing again, which now has a general “Nintendo 3DS” platform listed. The original “New Nintendo 3DS” part has been modified, so fans can rest easy knowing that Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will work on all 3DS systems.

The deluxe 3DS edition of Kirby’s Epic Yarn is exclusive to New 2DS and 3DS systems, according to the game’s page on Nintendo.com. This isn’t atypical for the more recently announced 3DS games, but probably a disappointment to those who never upgraded.

Kirbys Extra Epic Yarn

Kirbys Extra Epic Yarn was announced for 3DS during today’s Nintendo Direct. We have the boxart above plus screenshots below.

A new Yoshi game was Switch was announced at last year’s E3. After it missed E3 2018, Nintendo said that the title had been delayed out of 2018 and would be showing up again a bit later.

We could be receiving an update on the project during the next Nintendo Direct. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the presentation after it was pushed back following the earthquake in Hokkaido, but we’re hearing reports that folks are seeing a new name “Yoshi’s Crafted World” on Nintendo’s North American website.

After unveiling Yoshi for Switch last year, the game was nowhere to be seen at this year’s E3. We previously heard that the game would be shown later in 2018 instead.

IGN also asked for an update on the project from Nintendo’s Bill Trinen. Trinen was able to confirm that it’s still on track and “making really good progress.” The reason it’s taking a bit of extra time is to implement a few improvements.

Yoshi isn’t present at E3, but there’s been a lot of talk about the game. Nintendo said yesterday that it will be shown off later in 2018, and we later saw it listed as a 2019 title on the company’s website. The Big N has officially confirmed this, so Yoshi’s new game won’t be ready until next year.
