Nintendo has confirmed a North American release date for Hyrule Warriors. It will be available on September 26.

Information leaking out of this week’s Famitsu confirms new playable characters for Hyrule Warriors. Princess Zelda will be included on the roster, as will Midna from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Zelda appears to come equipped with a sword made with magic, and a bow can come into play as well. Meanwhile, Midna fights by using her hair and summoning the wolf of a shadow produced by magic.

Famitsu also touches on other things such as how King Dodongo and Lizalfos are in Hyrule Warriors. There’s also multiplayer with one person playing on the GamePad while the other plays on the TV.

Hyrule Warriors won’t feature any major voice acting, according to the game’s official Twitter account. Players will instead by presented with the standard types of voices that the Zelda series has been known for.

“Each character’s voice is modeled after the Zelda universe,” a message posted on the game’s Japanese Twitter account states. “It will have that ‘Hey! Listen!’ kind of feeling.”

I imagine that most won’t be surprised by this news. Still, I’m curious: how do you guys feel about the lack of expanded voice acting?

Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are not currently planning a Wii U bundle for Hyrule Warriors in Japan, according to the game’s official Twitter account.

A bundle was ruled out for the time being when one fan asked about the possibility. Instead, the Twitter account advised fans to pick up an alternative bundle with the high-profile title Mario Kart 8 launching in just a matter of days. “Mario Kart 8 comes out next week, so please know it’s important to purchase a bundle early,” the Twitter account wrote.

Hyrule Warriors hits Japan on August 14.

Looking at the images above, I’d definitely say that Hyrule Warriors has seen a visual improvement since we first saw the game. What about you guys?
