Pokemon Unite

A new 1.2.1.8 update has gone out for Pokemon Unite, and we now have the patch notes and balance changes.

Today’s update is highlighted by the addition of the Halloween Festival event and Greedent. Additionally, a number of Pokemon’s stats have changed.

Below are the full patch notes for the Pokemon Unite version 1.2.1.8 update:

Pokemon Unite Greedent

Another Pokemon is inbound for Pokemon Unite, as Greedent is about to join the game. The creature will be appearing as part of the upcoming Halloween event.

When the Halloween Festival goes live, stages will be decked out with Halloween decorations and related features. Special Holowear will also be appearing Bonfire Style: Charizard, Pajama Style: Wigglytuff, Bandit Style: Lucario, Space Style: Eldegoss, and more.

Pokemon Unite has announced a new Halloween Festival that will see the debut of Greedent.

Outside of this new playable character, we’ll be seeing a slew of special outfits. These include Bandit Style: Lucario and Bonfire Style: Charizard, along with new looks for Eldgeoss, Wigglytuff, and Zeraora (Holowear). Players will have new customization options such as Pikachu Mask (Halloween), Pointed Hat (Halloween), and Candy Bag (Halloween). New content will also be available in the Unite Snapshot feature.

Pokemon Unite roster

In a recent interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu, the developers of Pokemon Unite spoke about how the game’s roster was decided.

The franchise spans almost 1,000 creatures. But with Unite, the team went with a small, curated selection.

When asked how the team went about choosing the roster for Pokemon Unite, producer Masaaki Hoshino explained:

Pokemon Unite producer Masaaki Hoshino commented on a couple of the title’s gameplay mechanics in a previous interview with Famitsu, including the time limit for matches and fair-play points.

Sylveon now has a release date in Pokemon Unite, and the creature is just a few days away. The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studio Group just confirmed the creature’s availability for October 5 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. That’s October 6 at 1 AM in the UK / 2 PM in Europe.

Pokemon Unite Mamoswine

Mamoswine now has a release date in Pokemon Unite, as The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studio Group just confirmed that the character will be available on September 29.

Mamoswine can freeze opponents in their tracks. Take a look at the character in the new trailer below.

A new update has been released for both the mobile and Switch versions of Pokemon Unite, bringing the game up to version 1.2.1.3 on both platforms.

Today’s patch includes support for the new Galactic Ghost 094 Battle Pass, Unique Squads, balance changes, and more.

Pokemon Unite transfer

The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studio Group have provided new details on how players will be able to transfer progress between the Switch and mobile versions of Pokemon Unite.

If you’re playing the mobile version for the first time, you’ll need to log in to the Nintendo Account or Pokemon Trainer Club that you originally linked to the Switch version. Pokemon Unite progress will then transfer automatically between Switch and mobile.

Pokemon Unite has surpassed nine million downloads, The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studio Group have announced. That number accounts for all installs through the Switch eShop since launch.

To celebrate, all players will be given 2,000 Aeos Tickets. This will be made available starting on September 29.
