Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS

The newly announced Mii fighters operate a bit differently to traditional Smash Bros. characters thanks their customization options and today Sakurai explains a bit more about that:

Here are some weapons the Mii Swordfighter can use: Shurikens of Light, Chakrams, and Gale Strikes. You can control the direction the Chakram is thrown, or even make it stall in midair. The Chakram is also the only one of these tied to the side special move, so you can use one of the other items consecutively with this one.

E3 might be all done and dusted for the year but Sakurai has one final image to round out the week for us:

This is quite a line-up of characters for the gaming world. I mean, it’s amazing enough that Mario can fight Pikachu. I hope you enjoy this truly unique celebration!!

A look at Palutena on the 3DS version today, along with a look at the Home-run contest which will be making a return:

The goddess is up to bat for the Home-run Contest, a returning mini-game on the 3DS version! It’s been streamlined with added features here and there, like sturdier glass and doubled speed for long hits. You can also have fun comparing your rankings for this mini-game with your Global Smash Power.

Alright, I know what you’re thinking: this is obvious news. But yes, there are more unannounced characters planned for the new Super Smash Bros. games. The folks hosting the Treehouse stream mentioned this, though they obviously didn’t elaborate further. I’m still waiting for a Captain Falcon confirmation, personally!
