The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Today, Konami and ZDT Studio unveiled Darwin’s Paradox. The project is in the works for multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, for debut in 2025.

Darwin’s Paradox is an action adventure platformer. You’ll play as Darwin, an octopus snatched from the sea and thrust into a mysterious food factory.

Warriors Abyss

Koei Tecmo today unveiled Warriors: Abyss, a new take on the Warriors genre. The game launches for Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2025.

Warriors: Abyss combines the action the main series is known for with roguelite gameplay.

Onimusha 2 remaster release date

The recently-announced Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny remaster already has a release date. Today, Capcom announced that it’s launching on May 23, 2025.

New details were also shared today, including information about what’s new. Capcom is including more difficulty settings such as a new “Hell” mode, auto-saves, skippable cutscenes, multiple aspect ratios, an in-game gallery, and more.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is in development for Nintendo Switch, SEGA has announced. A release date of August 29, 2025 is already set.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is being made by Lizardcube, the team behind Streets of Rage 4. The series has been dormant for many years, but is now returning with an all-new 2D action platformer entry featuring a hand-drawn style.

SEGA just shared brand new details for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as well as the first gameplay trailer.

The project was first announced during The Game Awards in December. However, little was shown at the time – just a short teaser trailer. Now we have a proper look with first gameplay.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will have a variety of mechanics, including Travel Rings, Gadgets, vehicle customization, and more. Here’s the full rundown:

Nintendo Switch 2 patent display flipped

Another potential Nintendo Switch 2 patent is making the rounds, this time suggesting that the system can be turned upside down to change the positions of the headphone and USB ports.

With the current Switch, there’s just one way to orient the system and attach the controllers. With the upcoming console, however, you now “snap on” the Joy-Con with magnets. Additionally, now it seems it’ll be possible to turn the controllers upside down and have them set in the “wrong” side of the system.

Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has been asked about a potential Nintendo Switch 2 port of the game in light of the system’s recent announcement.

Unsurprisingly, Tsujimoto wasn’t going to announce anything right there in the interview with Gamereactor. However, he did say Capcom “would need to take time over the coming future to learn exactly the nature of the hardware and how we’ll be using it best”.

Splatoon 3 Chocolate Splatfest 2025 results

A returning Splatfest theme was held in Splatoon 3 this weekend with Chocolate Splatfest 2025, and the results are now in. Similar to the original run, players were asked to choose between dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate as their favorite.

The halftime report indicated that Team White Chocolate had a slim lead with clout at 34.05 percent. Team Dark Chocolate was just behind at 33.99 percent with Team Milk Chocolate in third at 31.96 percent.
