Update: A demo on the Wii U is also now available.

Original: Last night, a demo for Just Dance 2018 was made available for Switch in Europe via the eShop. The same demo is out now in North America as well. Look for it in the “Coming Soon” section of the eShop.

Ubisoft released a new trailer to promote the demo’s arrival. You can find that attached below.

A demo for Just Dance 2018 has gone live on the European Switch eShop. You can find it via the “Coming Soon” section of the store, on the game’s official listing. It’s a 444MB download.

The demo lets you play with either the Joy-Con or a mobile device. It features 24K Magic from Bruno Mars.

Meanwhile, the eShop listing also confirms the file size for the actual game. Just Dance 2018’s final version is 6.6GB.

It looks as though Target is listing Monopoly for the Nintendo Switch as releasing on October 31st. Seeing as it releases in Japan on November 9th this honestly doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch. However, it won’t be a for sure thing until we get an actual confirmation from Ubisoft themselves.

Julian Gollop, creator of the strategy franchise X-COM, nearly could have worked on Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Creative director Davide Soliani had interest in bringing Gollop on board during the early stages of development.

In an interview with PCGamesN, Gollop stated:

“The creative director Davide Soliani is a friend of mine from Ubisoft. When I was at Ubisoft Sofia he was, and still is, working for Ubisoft Milan and I visited him a couple of times. We had conversations about project ideas… he was a fan of my previous games, like Laser Squad [Nemesis] and stuff like that, and he was really into his strategy and turn-based ideas from the beginning.”

Three years or so ago, Soliani gave Gollop a call and asked if he wanted to work on a project with him. It never worked out because Gollop had just left Ubisoft to start working on Chaos Reborn, and he wasn’t aware that it was Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Gollop may have ended up working on the Switch title had he remained with Ubisoft.

Recognize the music and poses? That’s right: this is a funny play on the Sailor Moon anime.

Nintendo Australia sat down with a Ubisoft representative to talk in-depth about the collaborative nature of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Check out the full video below.

Are you aware of the fact that Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle isn’t actually out in Japan yet? The much-lauded game has been available in the West for a couple of weeks now, but hasn’t hit Nintendo’s home turf yet. We’ve known for a while now that Nintendo are publishing the game themselves in Japan, and that it would be released sometime next year, but in the recent Nintendo Direct, a concrete date has finally been revealed. Turns out that Japanese fans won’t have to endure too much of 2018 without Mario + Rabbids as the game is launching on January 18th.
