Pokemon GO is not part of the DeNA – Nintendo partnership
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Mobile, News | 6 Comments
Pokemon GO was announced earlier today for Android and iOS devices. Nintendo is involved with it, but the game is apparently not part of the company’s partnership with DeNA. DeNA confirmed this to Dr. Serkan Toto.
The first smartphone game jointly developed by Nintendo and DeNA is planned for release this year. If Nintendo are still sticking to that plan, we should hear an announcement pretty soon.

Nintendo’s marketing push for Super Mario Maker “on the same level as Mario Kart 8”
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Wii U | 3 Comments
Super Mario Maker is one of Nintendo’s biggest titles this year and their marketing push for the game reflects that, according to Nintendo UK product manager Remy van Leeuwen. Van Leeuwen told MCV that their “marketing push is on the same kind of level as [Mario Kart 8]. It’s really one of our big titles this year and it’s definitely in parity with Splatoon this year. “

Super Mario Maker update 1.01 out in Japan
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Wii U | 5 Comments
Super Mario Maker was released in Japan today and it has already received its first update. Patch 1.01, for which you’ll need 201 MB of free space, comes with these changes:
- “Create a course” scene: a small element was added
- Condition(s) for increasing the amount of useable parts (in the level editor) were added
- Various changes meant to improve the gameplay experience
It seems likely that this patch will also be applied to European and US versions of the game once they release tomorrow.
