Nintendo and Monolith Soft have provided details about upcoming DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as part of the game’s Expansion Pass. Wave 2 launches October 13.

Ino will be available as a new Hero, and players can complete her request to have her join their party. Challenge Battles will also be added with consecutive battles against tough enemies. Accessories and special outfits can be earned by challenging stronger and stronger enemies.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 still has two more DLC drops to go. One of these, which is due out by April 30, includes a Challenge Battle mode against difficult enemies, a new hero character and accompanying quests, and new character outfits. The final DLC is planned to launch by the end of 2023 and is comprised of a brand new story scenario.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Switch

The Wii title Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is seeing a return on Switch, Koei Tecmo has revealed. A new version was just announced for the console during today’s Nintendo Direct and will launch in early 2023.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse originally appeared on Wii in 2008. However, it never left Japan. This marks the first time it’ll be seeing a worldwide, English release.

It Takes Two Switch

EA and Hazelight Studios have made it official that It Takes Two is heading to Switch. A release is planned for November 4.

The game, one of the most acclaimed titles of last year, was rumored for Nintendo’s console earlier in the month. A port was made official during a Nintendo Direct just moments ago.

Fire Emblem Engage

The next major Fire Emblem release was unveiled during today’s Nintendo Direct, with Fire Emblem Engage coming to Switch. It will launch on January 20, 2023.

September 2022 Nintendo Direct live

A big September 2022 Nintendo Direct is upon us, and we have both a live stream and live blog ready to go. The fun begins at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. Note that there will not be a live stream in the UK, but it will go up as a video-on-demand following the broadcast, any viewers in the region can simply watch the North American counterpart.

Today’s Nintendo Direct will last about 40 minutes. Expect it to mainly focus on games launching on Switch this winter.

Witch on the Holy Night Soujuurou Shizuki

Type-Moon is back with another character trailer for Witch on the Holy Night, and has now introduced Soujuurou Shizuki.

The visual novel was previously released for PC in 2012, but will be appearing on Switch for the first time. Full voice acting and HD resolution will be included.

Fortnite microSDXC cards

Western Digital today announced that it’s teaming up with Nintendo and Epic Games to deliver the first officially licensed Fortnite SanDisk microSDXC cards for Switch.

The memory cards are “designed to provide players with consistent and reliable storage as they drop into Fortnite, no matter how they play.” They have been tested and approved for use with all Switch systems and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty1.

Space Raiders in Space release date

RedDeerGames will publish Space Raiders in Space on Switch this week, with the game receiving a final release date of September 16, 2022.

The title was originally announced back in 2020. It’s a tower defense game with a graphic novel storyline.

Pokemon GO Mega Aggron and Togedemaru

Niantic has announced a new Test Your Mettle event for Pokemon GO, which will include the debuts of Mega Aggron and Togedemaru. Players will have the opportunity to overcome challenges with their Steel-type Pokemon and encounter the Ultra Beasts Celesteela and Kartana, which have emerged from Ultra Wormholes (Celesteela in the Southern Hemisphere, and Kartana in the Northern Hemisphere).

3DS update 11.16.0-49

Another update has just gone live for 3DS systems, with Nintendo starting distribution of version 11.16.0-49 – and we have the official patch notes.

Nintendo says the following: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”
