Super Rare Games passed along the news today that it’s working with Coatsink and Over the Moon on a physical version for The Last Hero of Nostalgaia on Nintendo Switch.
3,000 copies will be made for the console worldwide. The Rise of the Evil DLC will be included on the cartridge.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure will be seeing a physical release on Switch, it’s been announced.
Sunblink and Sanrio will be doing a little bit extra with the boxed version. Copies include the base game and three Deluxe Bundles offering a super-charged start and a full set of Legacy items. Here’s what you’ll get:

Piczle Cross: Rune Factory release date set for February, new trailer

Thanks to Rainy Frog and Score Studios, the release date for Piczle Cross: Rune Factory has now been set. Nintendo Switch owners can grab it on February 20, 2025.
Piczle Cross: Rune Factory blends the challenge of nonogram puzzles with the characters, monsters, and lore of the iconic Rune Factory series. The game was previously announced in September for a 2025 launch.
Nintendo eShop in Japan to pull support for foreign credit cards, PayPal accounts

Nintendo made an announcement today stating that it will soon pull support for foreign credit cards and PayPal accounts. The change will go into effect on March 25, 2025.
The announcement doesn’t provide a ton of information, but Nintendo says it’s making the move in order to prevent fraud. Consumers are asked to use other payment methods such as credit cards issued in Japan in the future. Nintendo also apologized for any inconvenience this may cause.

Big Helmet Heroes confirmed for Nintendo Switch physical release

According to an announcement from Meridiem, Big Helmet Heroes is receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch. This is due out on April 10, 2025.
Big Helmet Heroes will be getting an Exalted Edition at European specialist retail stores. It comes with a special case with new artwork, a couch-coop heroes sticker, and an art book.

Capcom Spotlight announced for February 4

A new Capcom Spotlight broadcast will air on February 4, 2025, it’s been announced. The presentation will begin at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe.
The new Capcom Spotlight will be 35 minutes long, offering “back-to-back info about all that’s coming from Capcom”. The lineup of games includes Monster Hunter Wilds, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics.

Warside release date set for January, new trailer [update: delayed]

September 26: Thanks to First Break Labs and Lavabird, the release date for Warside is now available. The two sides are planning on bringing it to Switch on January 28, 2025.
Warside, an Advance Wars-style game, was announced for Switch close to two years ago. Despite being planned for Fall 2023, development ended up taking another year.
