Aero the Acro-Bat

Ratalaika Games is bringing back the classic game Aero the Acro-Bat for Switch, the company just announced. A worldwide release is planned for August 2, 2024.

Aero the Acro-Bat originally appeared on the SNES and SEGA Genesis in 1993. The 2D platformer will also now come with a rewind/turbo function, cheats feature, and more.

New data gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of June 2024.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was Nintendo’s main new Switch game of the month, and that one managed to top the chart with nearly 90,000 copies sold. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was also a new release for the system, and it comes in at #3 with a little over 40,000 units sold.

Garden Witch Life story

A new trailer for Garden Witch Life just dropped focusing on the game’s story.

You’ll play as a little witch from the big city who just lost her job. As the game starts, you end up on a tiny island where you’ll grow an enchanted garden, design an ancient tree house, and nurture cute creatures.

Thief Simulator 2

Thief Simulator 2 will be appearing on Switch, publisher Ultimate Games and developer CookieDev announced today. A release window wasn’t provided.

Thief Simulator 2 features a mix of stealth, simulation, and adventure gameplay in a mafia-thief world. This follows the original title which was previously released on Switch.

Build-A-Bear Fuecoco

Heads up Pokemon fans: a Fuecoco plushie was just made available at Build-A-Bear to expand the Pokemon lineup once again.

When making the purchase online, you’ll get more than just the plushie (which also has a 5-in-1 sound). Each order includes a shirt and sleeper as well.

Touhou New World Gensokyo Dreaming DLC

Starting today, Touhou: New World players can purchase new DLC dubbed Gensokyo Dreaming.

The DLC adds a ton of extra content. Players can access an original storyline, new stages, bosses, and eight additional playable characters from the Touhou Project universe to join existing characters Reimu and Marisa.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Splintered Fate couch co-op

We’re only a few days away from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate’s launch on Switch, but Super Evil Megacorp just confirmed that local couch co-op will be included. Up to four people can play together.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate originally appeared on mobile, but the Switch version will also feature other upgrades. These include graphical enhancements, better lighting and additional props for a richer environment, improved sound and controls – all optimized specifically for the platform.

Bloober Team Project M

An interesting project from Bloober Team has come to light tentatively titled Project M. This one looks to be slated for Nintendo platforms.

That news comes from an interview with Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. Despite having a smaller budget, Project M is an important project for the company. Babieno also mentioned that the title is being made “in cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”.

Punch Club 2 Iron Fist DLC

May 21: Today, tinyBuild and Lazy Bear Games pulled back the curtain on new DLC for Punch Club 2 called Iron Fist. Fans can expect it this July.

As of now the only tidbit shared is that the DLC involves players facing off in the Robot League. Further information will be provided leading up to launch.

Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets

Deneos, the developer behind Save me Mr Tako, today unveiled Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets as its latest project. The game arrives on Switch in 2026.

Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets is an action RPG inspired by the GBA era and specifically titles like Golden Sun. And speaking of that, Motoi Sakuraba of Golden Sun fame is contributing to the soundtrack along with Masanori Hikichi (known for Terranigma).
