Póntica has announced Plus Ultra: Legado, a comic-style, historical Metroidvania title. The game is currently in the works for Switch.
Plus Ultra: Legado recently ended up on Kickstarter where it received full funding. Fans helped to raise over €25,000, surpassing the funding goal.

Puzzle adventure game Guayota in the works for Switch

Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Team Delusion will release Guayota on Switch, the two sides announced today. The game is set to debut later in 2024.
Guayota is a puzzle adventure title in which players go through ancient gods’ temples and solve their enigmas. The goal is to discover the darkest secrets of Saint Brendan’s Island, the paradise on Earth.

Shadow the Hedgehog was originally planned to be rated M with lots of f-bombs

Shadow the Hedgehog was a more serious and mature take on the Sonic series, but it turns out that SEGA originally had plans to take things even further with an M-rated classification.
That news comes from Jason Griffith, who voiced the character in the GameCube game. Griffith was looking back on the role in an interview with GameLuster.

Roguelite real-time strategy game Grit & Valor: 1949 announced for Switch

Today, publisher Megabit and developer Milky Tea announced Grit & Valor: 1949. A release is planned for 2025 on Switch.
Grit & Valor: 1949 is a roguelite real-time strategy game, which is set in an alternate World War 2. Players take control of an elite squad of mech and battle the Evil Axis forces.

Microsoft and Netflix are teaming up on a new Minecraft animated show, the two sides announced today.
Little is known at the moment. Thus far, it’s only been said that the show will tell an “original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light.”

The Garden Path release date set for July, new trailer

Thanks to publisher Mooncat Games and developer Carrotcake, we now have a release date for The Garden Path. The title launches for Switch on July 30, 2024.
The Garden Path was first confirmed for Switch in August 2021. It was most recently planned to debut in Spring 2023, but that target was missed. The Garden Path will now be coming out in a couple of months.
