Catechesis

Baroque Decay, the studio behind Yuppie Psycho, today unveiled Catechesis. The game is in development for Switch and other platforms, but a release window has yet to be announced.

Catechesis was first technically made known in 2013. After expanding the scope to an impossible point, however, it was put on the backburner while the team focused on the likes of The Count Lucanor and Yuppie Psycho. Now it’s fully underway and coming to Switch to boot.

Colony Defense

Today, McPeppergames announced that its upcoming project Colony Defense will be made available on Switch. The developer did not provide a release window.

Colony Defense is a minimalist tower base defense game. Learn more about it in the following overview:

November 2023 Indie World Showcase recap announcement

We have the official November 2023 Indie World Showcase recap announcement straight from Nintendo. The press release covers all of the announcements and other updates shared during today’s presentation.

Here’s the full rundown:

Two more games are seeing shadowdrops as part of today’s Indie World Showcase – specifically Enjoy the Diner and Passpartout 2.

Enjoy the Diner, a mysterious narrative adventure with point-and-click elements, was previously announced. Passpartout 2 was known as well and has actually been out in Japan since October, but it seems that the western release is happening now.

Urban Myth Dissolution Center

Publisher Shueisha Games and developer Hakababunko are bringing Urban Myth Dissolution Center to Switch, the two sides announced today. A release is planned for 2024.

Urban Myth Dissolution Center is an occult mystery adventure game in which players solve a variety of cases involving cursed relics, rental properties with shady histories, and dimensional anomalies. More information can be found in the following overview:

Braid Anniversary Edition release date

There’s good news about Braid Anniversary Edition for Nintendo players, as the game is still in the works for Switch – and we have a release date of April 30, 2024.

After it was announced in 2020, the game just recently resurfaced. However, the Switch version was nowhere to be seen – leading many to believe that the Switch version was cancelled. It did pop up during today’s Indie World Showcase, however, and it’ll launch next year as is the case with other platforms.

Planet of Lana

After its original debut earlier this year, Planet of Lana has now been announced for Switch. Thunderful and Wishfully have locked it down for Spring 2024.

The title, a cinematic puzzle platformer, will include the following:

Outer Wilds release date

Outer Wilds was featured during today’s Indie World Showcase, and a release date of December 7, 2023 was revealed with its Archeologist Edition. A physical version will follow in 2024.

It’s been a long time coming for Outer Wild on Nintendo’s console. It was first announced in February 2021 for release that summer. In July though, it was delayed to Holiday 2021. There have been no updates about the Switch version – until today.

Death Trick: Double Blind

Death Trick: Double Blind is planned for Switch, publisher Neon Doctrine and developer Misty Mountain Studio revealed today. It’s planned to launch sometime in 2024, though fans can get a taste of it today with a new eShop demo.

A Highland Song release date

During today’s Indie World Showcase, the final release date was announced for A Highland Song. The game is confirmed to launch on December 5, 2023.
