Update: Super Bomberman R version 2.2 patch notes and trailer added below.


Original: After initially debuting in March 2017, Super Bomberman R has received continued updates. Konami issued another notable patch for the game today with new content.

Once the latest update is applied, five new Bombers will be added. These include Caesar from Gradius, Alucard from Castlevania, Mimi Bomber, Nyami Bomber, and Upa Bomber. A “Civilians” Grand Prix mode has been added as well.

Despite being available, the Super Bomberman R update hasn’t actually been announced. We’ll bring you the patch notes when Konami shares them.

Nintendo has opened up pre-order for the NES controllers tied in to Nintendo Switch Online. Orders can be placed here.

Note that you’ll need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to be eligible. Furthermore, you must have a paid membership and a Nintendo Account.

Rosae Ex Ludis recently opened a Kickstarter campaign for Blood Nor Water. The project has reached its $12,500 goal with less than three days remaining, and will be coming to Switch.

Blood Nor Water “is a narratively driven strategy game focusing on a small band of soldiers trying to find their place in a war that is bigger than themselves.” You can find a trailer below, and the Kickstarter campaign here.

Nintendo Switch

GameXplain has posted a video showing off the new Switch update in action. Take a closer look at version 6.0.0 below.

Dangen Entertainment has announced that it will publish two new games on Switch. Devil Engine, along with Astalon: Tears of the Earth, will both be released on the eShop.

Devil Engine is a side-scrolling shooter while Astalon: Tears of the Earth is a 2D action game and Renaine is a platformer. We have more details and trailers for both projects below.

The latest episode of Nintendo’s Japanese show Nyannyan Neko Mario Time has now gone live. We’ve included it below.

Today’s Switch update has introduced some new functionality worth highlighting. Interestingly, Nintendo has added digital game sharing across multiple systems.

Once you connect to the eShop, you can designate a Switch system as the “primary console”. Other units can act as a “non-primary console”. If the primary console starts playing a game, the person with the non-primary console will have to stop. Additionally, the non-primary console needs to be connected to the internet.

As mentioned a short while ago, the big 6.0.0 firmware is out now for Switch. After going through the firmware upgrade, you’ll notice that a controller update is available. Both Joy-Con will be updated.

Usually it’s not entirely clear what’s included with the controller updates. Still, you’ll want to make sure you go through the process so that everything is in order.

Nintendo hasn’t published the full details about the update, but they should be arriving soon. We’ll add them in here as soon as we have the information.
