Devolver Digital and Nomada Studio have pulled back the curtain on a new 2D platformer in the works for Switch. In December, Gris will be coming to the console.

Here’s what we know:

There more character introductions are in for Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country. Nintendo and Monolith Soft provide overviews for Hugo, Brighid, and Aegaeon.

One of the big features Psyonix has been working on for Rocket League is cross-platform parties. Players can register an in-game ID comprised of a name and a unique code, add friends from other platforms by entering their ID into a new in-game friends list, and party with friends online.

The functionality will be added under the name RocketID. However, fans will have to wait a bit longer for its arrival, as it’s now planned for September.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is making its way to Switch next week, an eShop listing reveals. North America and Europe will both be getting the game on August 16.

BlobCat

BlobCat is out now on Switch through the eShop. Check out some gameplay footage in the video below.

The Guardian published a new feature this week with Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai. Sakurai weighed in on the importance of remembering the beginner crowd, said that he’ll continue working on the series as long as there’s demand, and more.

Bigben Interactive shared the latest video for V-Rally 4, posted below. It gives us a look at the game’s Hillclimb mode.

V-Rally 4 will begin to arrive in late September. The Switch version is without a release date, however.

Unfortunately, Steep no longer appears to be happening on Switch. The official Twitter account responded to a fan asking about the game’s status on Nintendo’s console, stating that development has stopped “to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead.”

XSEED Games, Marvelous Europe, and GalaxyTrail have announced a release date for Freedom Planet on Switch. The title is just a few weeks away as it’s now set for August 30.

Undertale

The Japanese Switch eShop has updated with a listing for Undertale. Along with screenshots, which we have below, the game’s file size is confirmed. It’ll take up 173MB of space.

Undertale will have a physical version in Japan, including a collector’s edition. We do believe this will be offered in the west as well, but if it isn’t, importing will be an option as the Japanese version supports English.
