Sonic x Shadow Generations won’t let you upgrade from Nintendo Switch to Switch 2

With Sonic x Shadow Generations set to launch soon on Nintendo Switch 2, SEGA has confirmed that there is no upgrade planned for Switch 1 players.
That news comes directly from the official website. A note on one of the pages states: “The Nintendo Switch version cannot be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 version.” This also applies to DLC, SEGA says.

Underwater sci-fi adventure Stardiver planned for Nintendo Switch

Game Source Entertainment just came through with a release date for Noctuary. It’s only a few months away, as a July 31, 2025 launch is now confirmed on Nintendo Switch.
Noctuary, an isometric action adventure game, was announced last September. As part of the initial reveal, a vague 2025 launch window was given.

April 21: The latest update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, known as “Wonderland Whimsy”, has been revealed. Players can get their hands on it starting April 23, 2025.
There’s a lot of stuff planned here, including the Alice in Wonderland Realm and Alice herself with Friendship Quests and rewards, Cheshire Cat, Uncrafting Station, Garden of Whimsy Star Path, and other content. Various improvements and fixes are also coming.

March 27: Today, Marvelous announced Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for Nintendo Switch. This one is planned for August 27, 2025.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar takes inspiration from the original Nintendo DS handheld release. For this game, Marvelous says it “expands on the content and feature set of the original, while modernizing the visuals and design, leaning into the title’s focus on the theme of ‘renewal’ as players set out to revitalize Zephyr Town’s bazaar and return it to its world-famous glory.”
