Overview of Pokemon Day 2018 activities

The first Pokemon games, Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green, launched in Japan on February 27, 1996. That means the franchise is turning 22 years old.
A number of activities are lined up for Pokemon Day 2018 to celebrate the big day. There isn’t anything overly massive, but a number of different events are planned relating to Pokemon GO, Snapchat, and more.

Nintendo ranks second in Metacritic’s 2017 game publisher rankings

Metacritic published its rankings today based on publishers with the overall highest-reviewed games of 2017. Nintendo climbed to the second spot, up one position from the year prior. Across Switch and 3DS, the company’s average Metascore was 78.0, which is 1.5 points higher than in 2016.

Windscape, Toby: The Secret Mine, The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk listed for Switch

Headup Games’ website is showing three new potential games for Switch. Windscape, Toby: The Secret Mine, and The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk are all listed for Nintendo’s console.
Windscape was announced for Wii U in 2016, though that version is unlikely to happen at this point. Headup Games did release Toby: The Secret Mine on Wii U about a year ago. The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk, which debuted last October, has not yet appeared on a Nintendo platform.

Rocket League adding WWE items this spring

Psyonix has established a new partnership that will see the addition of WWE items in Rocket League, the studio announced today. Items will be available sometime this spring. Specifics are being kept under wraps for now, but more information will be shared in the future.
Rocket League will be playable at WrestleMania 34 in April. Other aspects of the partnership include Rocket League sponsorships at live WWE events.

Danmaku Unlimited 3 launching on Switch next month

Danmaku Unlimited 3 was announced for Switch last June. Next month, the game will finally be joining the eShop.
The North American store has the bullet hell shooter down for March 13. Pricing is set at $9.99.

New data is in providing a look at France’s best-selling games of 2017. We have the full top twenty below, including specific sales figures for each ranking.
A number of Nintendo games made the list, including Zelda: Breath of the Wild at over 500,000 copies sold. Super Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and 1-2 Switch also charted.
