Super Mario Odyssey completed without jumping, technically
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Random, Switch | 13 Comments
Super Mario Odyssey is all about jumping. Yet despite that, one person has managed to complete the experience without that action – at least according to what the game classifies as such.
Super Mario Odyssey has an interesting definition of jumping. Capturing the necessary enemies for completion and then using any of the “jumping” actions doesn’t actually increase the official counter. Likewise, Super Mario Odyssey only classifies some actions as jumps, such as standard jumps, double jumps, and triple jumps. Everything required for the “Y” button is legal, for example, and going up in the air by bouncing off of Cappy’s hat is fine.
Based on what Super Mario Odyssey says is and isn’t a jump, Gamechamp3000 set out on a mission to see if you could complete the game. The results: it’s possible to finish without jumping, technically. There were bumps along the way, but Gamechamp3000 managed to do it. You can see how it all played out in the video below.

Bayonetta 2 for Switch tentative file size
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 21 Comments
Last week, Nintendo surprised everyone at The Game Awards with a trio of Bayonetta announcements. The original two games are bound for Switch, along with the entirely new Bayonetta 3.
Amazon Japan shows tentative the file size for Bayonetta 2. The game apparently takes up about 12.4GB, which would be a little bit smaller than Wii U’s 14GB. If this size changes, we’ll let you know.

Update: And it’s already gone! This has indeed been selling out quickly.
Original: Amazon France has opened pre-orders for the Bayonetta 2 Special Edition. You can reserve it here. Note that this sold out on Amazon UK rather quickly, so keep that in mind.
Also, you should be able to place an order from the US despite the page saying otherwise. It worked for us at the very least.

Kirby Battle Royale adding Mirror ability this week
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
During the first round of the Kirby 25th Anniversary Copy Ability Poll, “Mirror” was chosen by fans. That meant the ability would be added to Kirby Battle Royale at some point.
Nintendo has now announced that Mirror will be available in Kirby Battle Royale on December 13. Of course, the game isn’t actually out yet in North America – only in Europe and Japan. When it becomes available stateside in January, we assume the Copy Ability will be out at launch.
