Last week, Nintendo started a retweet event for Super Mario Run. The global promotion was for North America, Europe, and Japan.

Depending on the amount of retweets, different Daisy Statues would be made available in the game. For 5,000 retweets, a standard statue would be provided to players. 10,000 retweets meant Nintendo would hand out a gold version.

Both goals were reached, meaning Gold Daisy Statue is the top prize. Players should find it waiting for them right now.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, the magazine shares new details about the Attack on Titan 2 game. This is the one for Switch that Koei Tecmo is publishing worldwide, as opposed to Spike Chunsoft’s 3DS title currently for Japan only.

Similar to last year, Nielsen has shared some data about the most anticipated games due out this holiday.

In terms of Nintendo titles, the big N has a few heavy hitters on its hands. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon appear to be receiving the most attention. However, we can’t forget about Super Mario Odyssey and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions. Mario Party: The Top 100 also looks to be drawing some interest.

Amazon has opened pre-orders for a couple of titles. One is for all 3DS systems while the other is limited to New 3DS use.

First, pre-orders are live for the physical version of River City: Rival Showdown. This includes a limited edition keychain, pictured below:


You can also pre-order Minecraft: New 3DS Edition on Amazon here. The listing carries a tentative release date of November 10.

Nintendo has updated its maintenance schedule once again. The Switch Parental Controls app will be undergoing maintenance tonight in what looks to be preparation for a new update. Online play of Switch titles will also be impacted later this week.

Gear.Club previously came to mobile devices. But on Switch, developer Eden Games is adding new features and making significant changes.

One thing you won’t have to worry about are microtransactions. Eden Games CEO Pascal Clarysse confirmed the news to Redbull. Clarysse also said that the team is capitalizing on Switch’s power “to deliver higher definition of graphics and visual effects.” Local multiplayer is also in, allowing players to race at once with Joy-Con controllers.

Nintendo closed out its series of interviews for the Super NES Classic Edition with a bang. Masahiro Sakurai spoke about Kirby Super Star in depth, which is a game he directed 25 years ago.

One notable part of the interview touches on how a request from Shigeru Miyamoto led to the inclusion of two-player co-op. Sakurai also goes over how Donkey Kong Country’s visuals influenced Kirby Super Star, a planned game that was cut, and the development name.
