Flipnote Studio has received a new update, with Nintendo issuing version 1.0.1. It’s largely tied to the new 3DS firmware that went out last night.
Because of that 3DS update, the old version is blocked from starting. You’ll need to update Flipnote Studio 3D in order to play it again.
Note that the update process is somewhat different here. To get the latest version, visit “Your Downloads” on the eShop.
Thanks to Cameron for the tip.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope – “Feature Spotlight” #2 – “Farming Friend”
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Switch, Videos | 9 Comments
Natsume has prepared the second “Feature Spotlight” video for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. This time, we hear about the farming enhancements, and more specifically, Farming Friend.
Here’s the video:
And some background information:
Today, I’d like to focus on the farming enhancements coming in Light of Hope. As you can see from the video, we’re focusing on speeding up gameplay, with the ability to till, sow, and water your crops faster than ever!
But the big exciting feature we’d like to focus on is your Farming Friend! What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s an icon that will appear after you sow, water, or fertilize your crops to let you know if you’re raising them at their full potential!
And that’s not all! One of the best things about your Farming Friend is that after you’ve harvested a crop, your Farming Friend will now display exactly what crop you’ll be harvesting! No more guessing in case you forgot exactly where you planted what crops. And what’s more, if your Farming Friend displays a question mark over a crop you’ve already harvested, like a strawberry, you’ll know that you’ve succeeded in producing a MUTATED crop! Awesome!
In short, your Farming Friend is designed to make Harvest Moon: Light of Hope more user friendly and fun to play.
We hope the Spotlight Feature video sheds a little more “light” on this exciting new change to farming, and we look forward to seeing you again in our next Spotlight Feature segment!

Halo Mash-Up Pack will be playable in Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition following Better Together update
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 10 Comments
As many of you know, Mojang is currently cooking up a big “Better Together” update for Minecraft. The update will allow for some significant functionality, including cross-play so that users on platforms like Switch and Xbox One can play together. Other features are also planned with Mojang bringing the Bedrock Engine to Switch and other systems.
One interesting part of Better Together is that the Halo Mash-Up Pack will be playable on all platforms supporting the Bedrock Engine. Since Switch is included, that means the DLC will be available on Nintendo’s console.
Minecraft developer Aubrey Norris confirmed on Twitter:
This is super cool – the Halo Mashup pack and skins will be playable on ALL Bedrock Engine platforms; not just Xbox! #BetterTogether
— Aubrey Norris (@Chupacaubrey) September 19, 2017
This is neat news for sure, but don’t expect the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack to hit other platforms. Nintendo is keeping that one exclusive.
