Time to bring on the bizarre Switch games. Amazon UK is listing a pair of random titles for the system: Vegas Party and Chicken Range.
Vegas Party promises “gambling-friendly” fun, comprised of ten unique mini-games. As for Chicken Range, it’s a shoot-em-up in which you shoot chickens using various weapons.
Vegas Party will apparently be available on December 8, while Chicken Range doesn’t have an estimated release date at present (update: listing now shows February 23). More details about both titles are included below.

Splatoon 2 temporarily blocks you from online play with repeated disconnects
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 61 Comments
Splatoon 2 appears to dish out temporary punishments for repeated disconnects. After disconnecting online four times due to issues with their connection, player hypwnotic received the message above. It warns that you’ll be unable to play online “for a while” due to play sessions not ending “naturally”.
This was with the Splatfest World Premiere demo, but this should carry over to the final game as well. It could be a useful tool against ragequitters, but could be a problem with those with faulty internet connections. When playing online, you should try to make sure you’re on a stable connection to avoid any potential issues.

Thimbleweed Park will be on Switch “soon”
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
Thimbleweed Park was announced for Switch last week. It’s a new point-and-click adventure game from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, two of the developers known for classics like The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.
For now, Thimbleweed Park doesn’t have a specific release date on Switch. However, Terrible Toybox told Eurogamer that it’s “coming soon”.
A representative passed along the following note to the site:
“We’re waiting to announce a timeframe for Switch until we can be sure, so for right now it’s just ‘coming soon’. It’s in active development (as you can tell from Ron’s video!) so hopefully won’t be too long of a wait.”

At the end of last week, Japanese outlets were able to go hands-on with Mario Kart Arcade GP VR. New details about the game were shared as a result.
We have the following information:
– Four players get to race as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach
– Bowser and Wario also appear as NPCs
– People play by wearing not only VR googles and headphones, but also Vive trackers on each hand
– The right hand controls the accel, and the left hand has the brake
– The course is using the one from Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix
– The handle has force feedback, and the seat also rumbles
– Three items are available here: Banana, Hammer, and Green Shell
– Items are floating on balloons mid-way, and can be obtained by raising your hands to grab them
– You can also throw items towards opponents behind you
– Can now throw items in all sorts of directions
– Tracks also have gimmicks like a giant Piranha Plant showing up from the side, a Thwomp falling from above, and a Bob-omb trying to cross the road and will explode if crashed into
– The track will change from a flooded area to a red hot area that resembles Bowser’s Castle
– When you’re inside tunnels it’ll also have a steampunk feel
– There’s also a section where racers can glide mid-air
– Races are balanced so that nobody gets to greatly surpass others
– Finally, there are no time records or rank placements at the end of the game (the writer assumes it’s because they want players to have fun rather than honing their skills)
We also have some new images as well:
Mario Kart Arcade GP VR is playable right now in Japan. It just opened up at the VR Zone Shinjuku.
